First identify the robot’s complete model number and confirm the replacement part against Shark’s compatibility listing and your model’s manual. The steps below are documented for the Shark ION RV750 series; they should not be assumed to apply to every Shark robot.
Check your Shark robot’s model before buying a battery
Find the complete model number on the robot and compare it with Shark’s RVBAT850 product listing, which names the models it supports. The Shark ION RV750 Series owner guide also identifies RVBAT850 as the battery for that series. Neither fact means RVBAT850 fits every Shark robot.
Use the full model number—not just the Shark brand, appearance, or a marketplace listing—to check compatibility. Shark’s parts and accessories page advises checking the manual. If your model is not listed or the part remains unclear, verify it with Shark parts support before ordering.
How to replace the battery on the Shark ION RV750 series
Use this procedure only if your model’s owner guide gives the same instructions. Shark’s RV750 Series guide documents a cover-and-connector swap:

- Turn off the robot before maintenance.
- Turn the robot over. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the battery-cover screw and cover.
- Unplug the old battery from its connector.
- Plug the replacement battery into the connector.
- Reinstall the battery cover and secure its screw.
The Shark ION Robot RV750 Series instructions describe removing the cover, unplugging the old battery, connecting the replacement, and securing the cover again. Follow the guide for your own model if its procedure differs.
Choose the correct replacement and handle the old battery safely
Before purchase, check the exact model against Shark’s current compatibility list and the owner guide. Confirm that the part number and connector match what the manual specifies and the existing battery pack label shows. If considering a third-party pack, assess its warranty and seller support separately; the cited sources do not establish comparative quality or safety for third-party batteries.

The RV750 guide says to remove and recycle a battery that no longer holds a charge, following local ordinances or regulations. Do not incinerate it. The documented replacement procedure does not call for opening the battery pack, rebuilding cells, or altering wiring.

The RV750 procedure cannot establish that every Shark robot has a user-replaceable battery or uses the same cover, fasteners, and connector. If your manual does not document the swap, or the battery listing does not clearly include your model, do not assume the RV750 steps or RVBAT850 part apply. Check the model-specific manual or contact Shark parts support for guidance.
