To hide your number on supported outgoing calls, open Phone > More options (the three vertical dots) > Settings > Supplementary services > Show your caller ID, then choose Never. This changes caller ID for voice calls; it does not hide your number in text messages or make a call universally anonymous.
Hide your caller ID in Samsung Phone settings
- Open the Phone app.
- Tap More options, shown as three vertical dots.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Supplementary services.
- Tap Show your caller ID.
- Select Never.
These are the steps in Samsung UK’s guide, updated 4 August 2026. Samsung’s Android 14 and 15 instructions for Russia use the same route and specify that the SIM must be active. Menu names and availability can differ with your Galaxy model, software version, regional variant, Phone app, SIM and carrier. Samsung UK: Hide your phone number or caller ID; Samsung Russia: Show or hide your number when calling.

What the three caller ID options mean
| Setting | Effect on outgoing caller ID |
|---|---|
| Never | Hides your number from the person you call, if your carrier and country support the feature. |
| Always | Displays your number. |
| Network default | Leaves the display decision to your mobile network operator. |
Samsung says some carriers and countries do not allow number hiding. The setting therefore cannot guarantee that every call will display as private.

If the caller ID option is missing or does not work
- You cannot find the menu: On older Android versions or different software, check Phone > More options > Settings for Call settings, More, or Supplementary settings. The exact labels vary by device and software.
- The option is unavailable, or your number still appears: Confirm the SIM is active, then ask your carrier whether caller ID hiding is supported in your country and whether the service needs to be activated. Samsung identifies carrier and country support as factors.
- Your call does not connect: The person you are calling may block hidden or unknown callers. That recipient-side filter is separate from your outgoing caller ID setting.
What this setting does not hide
Caller ID hiding applies to calls, not text messages: Samsung says your number is not hidden when you send a text. It also does not make a call universally anonymous; use it only to control whether your number is displayed as caller ID on supported calls.

The label can vary by model or software. This filters calls coming to your Galaxy; it does not hide your number when you call someone else. Samsung Gulf: Block numbers on a Galaxy phone.
