To hide your number on a supported Samsung phone, open the Phone app and go to More options (⋮) → Settings → Supplementary services → Show your caller ID, then select Never. This asks your carrier not to display your number on outgoing voice calls; whether it works depends on your carrier and country.

Select Never to request that your number not appear to recipients of outgoing voice calls. Samsung documents this path and setting on its caller ID support page.

Depending on your Android and Phone app version, the labels or menu path may differ. If you cannot find the setting, check your phone’s call settings or ask your mobile network provider whether caller-ID suppression is supported.
What the three caller ID choices mean
| Setting | Effect |
|---|---|
| Never | Requests that your number not be shown on outgoing voice calls. |
| Always | Requests that your number be shown. |
| Network default | Leaves the caller-ID choice to your SIM or mobile network operator. |
These options control caller ID for outgoing voice calls, not messages. Samsung says the setting does not hide caller identification on text messages.

Why your number may still appear—or the call may not connect
Caller-ID suppression is not available everywhere. Samsung warns that “Some network carriers and countries do not allow you to hide your number.” If you select Never but your number still appears, contact your carrier to confirm whether the service is supported and enabled for your line.

People can block calls from unknown or withheld numbers. Samsung’s European Galaxy Z Fold6 manual describes a setting to block calls from callers who do not show caller ID and says calls from blocked numbers are logged in the call log. That is guidance for this model and region; call features can vary by device and carrier.

What hiding caller ID does not do
