A similarly named Extract API belongs to Parallel, while SerpApi’s surfaced listing describes search and rank extraction. The distinction matters: the products and companies should not be treated as interchangeable.
What is verified about the alleged SerpApi Extract API?
No SerpApi announcement or official documentation confirming an Extract API was identified. The available sources do not establish a launch date, endpoint, supported inputs, output formats, technical limits, pricing, geographic availability, or an official SerpApi statement about such a product. That means the headline’s attribution remains unverified, rather than proof that no such product exists.

Which Extract API appears in the available sources?
Parallel, not SerpApi, announced an Extract API. A LinkedIn post by Parag Agrawal of Parallel Web Systems describes sending URLs and receiving Markdown, either as full content or compressed for token efficiency: Parallel announcement on LinkedIn.

Parallel’s official product page describes Extract as a way to turn public-page content into context for AI systems. It presents objective-driven excerpts and full-page Markdown as options, and positions Extract alongside Parallel Search: Parallel Extract product page. These descriptions apply to Parallel’s service; they do not establish SerpApi ownership or a SerpApi launch.

What does the SerpApi listing describe?

Why not confuse SerpApi with Serpex?
Search results also surfaced documentation for a service named Serpex Extract API. That documentation identifies Serpex and its endpoint, not SerpApi, so it is not evidence for a SerpApi product: Serpex Extract API documentation.
