Choose ScalaHosting if you want shared plans with published introductory and renewal prices, or want its listed SPanel and VPS options. Consider Hosting.com if its stated feature set, phone-support channel, or migration offer better matches your needs—but check its shared-hosting limits and confirm the price for your chosen term. Neither provider can be called the performance winner based on the available like-for-like evidence; compare the exact plan, renewal cost, terms, workload, and support channels before buying.
How do ScalaHosting and Hosting.com compare?

What do ScalaHosting’s displayed shared prices include?
The following figures are the prices displayed on ScalaHosting’s official page when accessed in 2026. They are an offer snapshot, not a guaranteed checkout quote; billing term, location, promotions, and price changes may affect what you pay. The page’s selector shows 36-, 12-, and 1-month terms.

| Plan | Introductory price shown | Renewal price shown | Listed storage | Listed websites |

ScalaHosting’s terms say renewal is at the standard price for the selected service. They describe renewal invoices being generated seven days before expiry and require cancellation requests through the client dashboard. Check the current checkout total, renewal amount, selected term, and applicable money-back conditions before paying.
What should you check about Hosting.com’s features and limits?
Hosting.com says its plans include NVMe storage, LiteSpeed caching, unlimited databases, malware protection, free SSL, and daily off-server backups with restore points from the preceding 30 days. It also advertises free migration, a 30-day money-back guarantee, and a 99.9% uptime SLA. These are Hosting.com’s statements; they are not independent measurements. Confirm that the selected plan and its current terms provide the feature or remedy you expect.
Broad “unlimited” or “unmetered” wording does not mean every workload is permitted or unconstrained. Hosting.com’s shared-hosting terms state a limit of 600,000 inodes and 35 concurrent HTTP connections. The terms also restrict certain file-serving and storage uses, including online file serving and large-scale audio or video distribution. For cPanel shared accounts, complimentary backups are subject to a 50 GB aggregate quota and other stated constraints. Read the terms if your site stores many small files, serves downloadable media, or needs backup coverage beyond those conditions.

How do migration and support differ?
Both providers describe migration assistance, but the scope should be confirmed for your account. ScalaHosting says its technicians migrate the site and check it after the transfer. Hosting.com says it can migrate sites, email, and domains and lets customers preview a site before it goes live. Neither description is a guarantee of zero downtime. Before switching, ask what is covered for your number of sites, mailboxes, domains, and any special configuration.
The listed support routes may matter if you prefer a particular channel: ScalaHosting lists chat, email, and tickets, while Hosting.com lists chat, phone, and tickets. Their pages also make response or availability claims, but the channel lists alone do not establish which provider resolves issues more effectively.

Consider Hosting.com if its stated features or phone support fit your needs
Its published feature list includes NVMe storage, LiteSpeed caching, unlimited databases, malware protection, free SSL, and off-server backups; it also lists phone support. Weigh those claims against the shared-account limits, backup conditions, and restrictions in its terms, and verify the exact plan’s price and allocations before purchase.

For either provider, decide from the actual workload and contract
List the storage, number of sites, database needs, traffic patterns, backup retention, and migration scope your project requires. Compare the same hosting type and billing term, including renewal pricing, cancellation rules, and applicable limits. The available provider pages do not establish a neutral performance winner, so avoid choosing on an unverified speed or uptime comparison.
