Those starting prices are not directly comparable: your real total depends on paid collaborators, number of sites, usage, add-ons, and billing cadence. Official pricing pages retrieved October 5, 2026 list Sanity Free at $0, Growth at $15 per seat monthly, and Enterprise at custom pricing; Webflow lists Basic at $15 per site per month and Premium at $25 per site per month when billed yearly, with Workspace Core at $19 and Growth at $49 per month billed yearly. How Sanity and Webflow pricing is structured
Start by comparing what each platform bills for, not the lowest advertised number. Sanity Growth is primarily seat-priced, with project usage and optional add-ons affecting the bill. Webflow separates Site plans from Workspace plans: Site plans cover individual sites, while Workspace costs and seats are separate considerations. Webflow’s pricing calculator also excludes Workspace plans, seats, and add-ons such as Optimize, Analyze, and Localization, so its estimate may not represent the full account bill. Seats, usage, and add-ons
Sanity’s public pricing page lists up to 20 seats on Free and up to 50 on Growth; Growth is charged per seat. Work out which collaborators need paid roles, then verify current permission and viewer rules rather than assuming every stakeholder is billed the same way. Optional Growth add-ons include dedicated support for $799 per month, increased quota for $299 per month, and each extra dataset for $999 per month. The increased-quota add-on is a published fixed price, not a general overage rate. Sanity lists it as extending included quotas to 50,000 documents, 5 million API CDN requests, 1 million API requests, 500 GB bandwidth, and 500 GB assets. Sanity pricing and add-ons

Overages, caps, and documents
Sanity bills projects in advance by calendar month. The organization is charged on the first of the month for plan charges and prior-month overages. Paid Growth projects automatically bill overages for applicable usage beyond included quotas. Free and trial projects have hard caps on specified resources; reaching one can block the affected functionality until the quota resets or the project is upgraded. Documents follow a separate rule: Free, trial, and Growth do not allow document overages. Growth customers who need more document capacity can consider the increased-quota add-on or Enterprise, as appropriate. Sanity plans and payments
How to estimate Sanity usage
API request and bandwidth quotas reset at 00:00 UTC on the first day of each calendar month. Document and asset quotas reflect current project usage and do not reset monthly. Check the project’s usage dashboard before estimating a bill. Sanity recommends using its API CDN for public, read-heavy queries and caching responses to reduce request volume. What can raise Webflow’s bill?
Count every hosted site and the Workspace
A Webflow Site plan belongs to an individual site, and every site hosted on a custom domain needs its own Site plan. A multi-site account therefore needs to count the Site plan for each hosted site, plus any Workspace and seat costs that apply. Do not treat the $15 Basic or $25 Premium yearly-billed Site figure as a complete account price. Webflow’s Site plan guidance
Allow for bandwidth and other add-ons
Bandwidth needs can change the total. Webflow’s pricing page lists a +50 GB bandwidth add-on at $20 per month billed annually or $30 per month billed monthly; verify the current tier and whether the site needs it. Webflow’s calculator excludes add-ons such as Optimize, Analyze, and Localization, so include required services separately when calculating an account’s cost. Webflow pricing · Calculator exclusions
Check existing-account migration status
Webflow consolidated CMS and Business Site plans into Premium as part of its 2026 plan changes. New Site plan purchases used the new structure beginning May 13, 2026. For most existing sites, changes began applying on or after June 29, 2026 at renewal or after a billable change; certain Freelancer or Agency Workspace sites and legacy-priced sites were scheduled for November 16, 2026 or later. Because rollout timing depends on account category and legacy status, use the current invoice and renewal date for an existing account rather than assuming the new-customer price applies. Webflow’s 2026 plan-change details · Webflow’s plan-change overview
Webflow’s published migration examples illustrate how bandwidth can alter the result: in one yearly-billing scenario with 150 GB use, the cost rises from $59 per month to $65 per month after migration; in a 500 GB scenario, it stays at $199 per month. These are Webflow’s examples, not forecasts for other sites. Webflow’s migration examples

How to compare your likely monthly cost
- Set the scope. Count production projects or sites, the collaborators who need paid roles, and any separate Workspace requirement.
- Choose the required plan features. List the publishing, CMS, custom-domain, collaboration, preview, governance, support, and security capabilities you actually need, then identify which plan or add-on provides each.
- Use measured usage. For Sanity, review the project’s usage dashboard for API/CDN requests, bandwidth, documents, and assets. For Webflow, check site bandwidth and required add-ons against the current plan limits.
- Match the billing cadence. Compare annual commitments with annual commitments or monthly with monthly; Webflow’s listed Site and Workspace prices above are yearly-billed prices. Include applicable taxes and any one-time or account-specific charges separately.
- Use your actual account status. For Sanity, check the project’s Plan tab and billing history. For Webflow, use the current invoice and renewal date, especially if the site has legacy pricing or is in a migration category.
A useful estimate has separate lines for seats, each hosted site, Workspace, usage exposure, and required add-ons. There is no evidence-backed universal monthly total for either platform: the answer depends on the configuration and measured use.
Which platform is cheaper?
Neither platform is automatically cheaper from the published entry prices alone. A small Sanity team may have a low seat-based plan cost but must account for usage and any necessary add-ons. A Webflow account must count each custom-domain site and applicable Workspace costs, and may need bandwidth or other add-ons. Compare the capabilities you need and a realistic usage level, not just $15 against $15: one is a Sanity per-seat monthly rate, and the other is Webflow’s per-site monthly rate when billed yearly.
