Yes. A Samsung Galaxy phone can share a saved Wi-Fi network through a QR code, so a guest with a compatible device can scan it instead of typing the password. Your Galaxy must already be connected to that network. The exact options can vary by model and software version.
Share a saved Wi-Fi network with a QR code
- Open Settings and tap Connections.
- Tap Wi-Fi and check that your Galaxy is connected to the network you want to share.
- Tap the gear or settings icon beside that connected network.
- Tap QR code to display the code.
- Have your guest scan the code with a compatible phone and follow the prompt to join.
Samsung’s instructions say the guest can connect without entering the password manually. Menu names or placement may differ across Galaxy models and software versions. Samsung’s Singapore instructions provide the sequence above: Samsung Singapore Wi-Fi sharing instructions.

What the guest needs
The other device must be able to scan and use a Wi-Fi QR code. Samsung cautions that older Android software may not support connecting this way. If the guest scans the code but cannot join, the network’s restrictions or router security settings may also be involved. Samsung suggests checking that the Galaxy showing the code remains connected and, if necessary, restarting the router; these are Samsung’s troubleshooting suggestions, not a guarantee of a fix. Another option documented for Galaxy Z Fold6
The European Galaxy Z Fold6 user manual describes a separate request-and-approval flow for secured Wi-Fi. The guest selects Request password, and the connected device’s owner accepts the request. The manual says the devices must have each other saved as contacts and the other device’s screen must be on. Wi-Fi sharing is different from a mobile hotspot QR code
The Z Fold6 manual also explains how to display a QR code from the phone’s Mobile Hotspot screen. That lets another device join the Galaxy’s mobile-data hotspot; it does not share the password for the Wi-Fi router the phone is connected to.
Choose the sharing method that fits

Share access deliberately
Displaying the QR code gives the person who scans it a way to join the network, subject to device compatibility and network settings. Only show it to people you intend to connect. Samsung’s Gulf page describes the code as containing encrypted network details, but the cited material does not independently establish how the code is encoded or its security properties.
