Samsung’s announced Galaxy Tab S12 lineup has two tablets: the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra. There is no standard or base Galaxy Tab S12 in the announcement. Samsung says availability starts October 7, 2026, in select markets—not everywhere on that date.
Which Galaxy Tab S12 models did Samsung announce?
Samsung’s September 30, 2026 announcement names the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra. It does not list a regular Galaxy Tab S12. Independent launch coverage also notes the base model’s absence, but Samsung has not explained why it is missing or said whether another model will follow.

How do the S12+ and S12 Ultra differ?

Samsung positions the tablets for productivity, but display size alone does not establish that one model performs better. The company’s US product page highlights a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays, S Pen support and DeX; configuration details can vary by market. When do the tablets go on sale?
Samsung’s announced availability begins October 7, 2026, in select markets. Samsung US also gives October 7, 2026, for the US, but the global wording does not make that a universal release date. Check Samsung’s local product page or a local retailer for availability in your country.

Samsung says the S Pen is included with the tablets. The launch information does not establish that a keyboard cover or charger is included in every country or configuration, so check the regional package details before purchasing. No specific keyboard accessory’s compatibility is confirmed here.

Samsung’s global release also states a commitment to seven OS upgrades and security updates. That is a manufacturer support commitment, not an independent assessment of future software delivery.
