Use Windows brightness controls
Open the taskbar’s quick controls or Action Center and move the brightness slider. In Samsung’s Galaxy Book6 guide for Windows 11, the Settings route is Settings > System > Display. [Samsung Support]

Check your model’s Samsung support page for hotkey requirements. Samsung says that some models covered by its function-key guidance need Samsung Settings or Book Settings for hotkeys; requirements vary by device and Windows generation. [Samsung Support]

If the screen is unusually dim, raise brightness, charge the laptop if its battery is very low, and check whether automatic brightness is available and enabled. [Samsung Support]

Install available Windows updates if the problem persists. Samsung’s troubleshooting guidance mentions a historical issue involving Windows 10 version 1809 on some models; that note is not evidence that the old version is a general cause of brightness problems today. [Samsung Support]

Brightness versus display appearance
Brightness changes how much light the display produces. Display modes affect how colors and content appear, so changing a mode is not necessarily a fix for a screen that is too dark. Samsung’s U.S. Notebook guidance lists Auto, Vivid, Natural, Photo Editing, and Movie modes, while its Galaxy Book6 guide documents Windows 11 controls alongside Samsung-specific display options.
