Short answer: the $300 Galaxy Z Flip5 price was reported in an Android Headlines promotion published in May 2024, but it is not proof of a live Cyber Monday 2026 offer. Cyber Monday 2026 is November 30, and Samsung’s U.S. store currently marks the Flip5 sold out. Treat any $300 listing as unverified until the checkout page confirms the phone’s condition, storage, lock status, seller, and final cost.
Where the $300 claim came from
The original deal coverage is Android Headlines’ May 2024 report. It described a Galaxy Z Flip5 promotion at $300 and highlighted a 512GB model at the 256GB sale price. That page does not establish that the offer remains active, that $300 was the amount paid at checkout, or that the phone was new and unlocked.
Samsung’s current U.S. product page lists the Flip5 as sold out and points shoppers toward newer models. Therefore, the old promotion should be treated as historical deal coverage, not a confirmed Cyber Monday 2026 price.
What “$300” can mean
A headline price can describe very different transactions. Confirm which one applies before paying:
#1 Best Overall
- Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Cell Phone
- 256GB
- High quality
- Memory Storage Capacity: 256.0 GB
- Operating System: Android 13.0
| Price type | What you actually receive | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Outright price | The phone costs $300 before tax and shipping. | Condition, storage, seller, return window and warranty. |
| Trade-in price | The advertised figure assumes credit for your old phone. | The old device’s value and whether credit is immediate or conditional. |
| Carrier promotion | Monthly bill credits reduce an installment balance over 24–36 months. | Required plan, new line, activation, lock period and what happens if you leave. |
| Refurbished or open-box | A previously owned device at an effective $300 price. | Refurbisher, battery standard, warranty, accessories and return policy. |
Use this calculation rather than the headline: true cost = phone payments + required plan costs + fees − immediate discounts − trade-in value actually received. Future bill credits are not an immediate discount.
Which Galaxy Z Flip5 is involved?
Samsung’s U.S. specification sheet lists 256GB and 512GB versions, each with 8GB of RAM and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy. The deal report’s 512GB reference must be reconciled with the retailer’s model number and checkout storage selection; do not assume every $300 listing is the 512GB version.

| Battery | 3,700mAh typical capacity |

| Launch software | Android 13 with One UI 5.1.1 |

How to check a $300 listing before buying
- Identify the seller. Prefer Samsung or a major retailer with a visible business identity, customer-service contact and written return terms.
- Read the condition label. “New,” “manufacturer refurbished,” “open box,” “renewed” and “used” are not interchangeable.
- Match the model and storage. A Best Buy listing identifies an unlocked 256GB U.S. model, SM-F731UZAAXAA. Its existence does not prove current stock or a $300 price. Best Buy also has a separate 512GB listing; confirm the exact capacity at checkout.
- Confirm unlocked status. Ask whether the IMEI is clean, the phone is paid off, and the device is not carrier-financed or locked. Carrier compatibility alone does not prove an unlocked phone.
- Calculate the final total. Add tax, shipping, activation, accessories and required plan charges; subtract only credits you receive immediately.
- Check protection. A meaningful return period and written warranty should cover the inner display, hinge and screen protector.
Inspection checklist for refurbished or used phones
- Open the phone completely flat and check hinge alignment, resistance and unusual grinding.
- Inspect the inner screen for black spots, flicker, dead pixels, touch failures and a damaged or bubbling factory protector.
- Check the USB‑C port, outer glass and frame for impact or liquid damage.
- Confirm the IMEI is clean and activation works with your intended U.S. carrier, including eSIM if needed.
- Ask about battery-health standards, repair history, included accessories and warranty length.
Do not remove the factory-installed inner protector yourself or apply a conventional glass protector. IPX8 means water resistance, not dustproofing or immunity from liquid damage; a repaired or opened used phone should not be treated as safe to submerge.
Rank #2
- The Galaxy Z Flip5 features a 6.7″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X main screen with an adaptive 1–120 Hz refresh rate, delivering fluid, fast visuals for everything from games to video while folding into a compact form for portability.
Is the Flip5 worth $300 in 2026?
When it is a good buy
A new, unlocked unit at an outright $300 from a reputable seller, with a full return window and warranty, can be excellent value if you specifically want a compact folding phone and accept older hardware.
When the price is only fair
A manufacturer-refurbished device may be reasonable when its battery standard, inspection process, warranty and returns are explicit. “Refurbished” without those details is not a quality grade.
When to pass
A private-party phone is not attractive if the seller cannot document a clean IMEI, hinge and screen condition, carrier compatibility and return protection. A carrier price that requires an expensive plan or years of bill credits may cost more than a straightforward purchase.
Rank #3
- 512GB ROM, 8GB RAM, Qualcomm SM8550-AC Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (4nm) Octa-core, Adreno 740, 3700mAh Battery
Main compromises
- Battery: the 3,700mAh capacity is modest, and an older or heavily used cell may have lost capacity.
- Cameras: the 12MP wide and ultrawide system is practical but not camera-first hardware compared with Samsung’s premium slab phones.
- Age and repairs: the 2023 foldable has a shorter remaining support runway than a newer Flip and carries higher hinge and inner-screen repair risk than a conventional phone.
- Accessories: budget separately for a 25W charger and a case.
Safer alternatives if the deal is gone
Compare the total cost of a newer model before accepting a used Flip5 without meaningful coverage. Samsung directs buyers to the Galaxy Z Flip7; its current price is not established here, but newer hardware can justify a higher purchase price through a healthier battery and longer support horizon.
If folding is optional, a conventional Galaxy A-series or older Galaxy S-series phone generally offers better battery life, simpler repairs and more predictable durability at a similar effective cost. You give up the Flip5’s folded size and cover-screen features.

The $300 figure was a real promotional price reported in 2024, not a currently verified Cyber Monday 2026 deal. Buy only when a live retailer page shows an in-stock phone, clearly states new or certified-refurbished condition, confirms the exact 256GB or 512GB model and unlocked status, and shows an outright $300-or-less total before tax with credible returns and warranty coverage. Otherwise, wait for a newer-model promotion or choose a conventional phone with lower ownership risk.
