The Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+ brings familiar One UI tools—including split-screen multitasking and standalone DeX—to a budget tablet, but that does not give it flagship speed or display quality. In a review of the US 5G version, Android Authority found everyday apps and many casual games workable, while heavy app switching could stutter and demanding games could require lower settings. The title’s model is not explicit; the A11+ is the best-supported match, so its specifications and review findings below apply to that model and, where stated, to specific regional versions.
Does the Galaxy Tab A11+ run the same software as Samsung flagships?
It runs Samsung’s One UI, with several recognizable tablet features, but “the same software” should not be read as “the same complete feature set.” Android Authority’s US 5G review unit ran One UI 8 based on Android 16. Samsung’s US launch announcement highlights Circle to Search, Gemini access, Samsung Notes and Math Solver, as well as DeX Standalone Edition. The reviewer also describes split-screen multitasking, pop-up windows, Quick Share and Samsung ecosystem integrations.

There are limits. On the reviewed A11+, DeX worked on the tablet itself but could not project to an external display, and the tablet did not support S Pen input. The reviewer also reported that Galaxy AI features such as image editing, advanced writing assistance and AI wallpapers were absent, even though Circle to Search and Gemini access were available. Samsung’s launch feature list therefore should not be taken as proof that the A11+ includes every software capability found on premium Galaxy devices.

Android Authority reports that Samsung promised up to seven years of software and security updates for the reviewed model. “Up to” is the commitment reported in that review; it does not establish identical rollout timing across regional versions or guarantee updates arrive alongside flagship releases. Android Authority’s Galaxy Tab A11+ review and Samsung’s US launch announcement describe the software and features.

Where does the budget hardware show its limits?
Display: smoother motion, not a premium panel
Samsung UK lists an 11-inch TFT display with 1920 × 1200 resolution and a 90 Hz refresh rate. The higher refresh rate can make scrolling and motion appear smoother than on a conventional 60 Hz screen, but it does not change the panel technology. Android Authority’s reviewer noted viewing-angle and color shortcomings, a meaningful compromise for video, photos and other content where display quality matters. These are the UK-listed specifications; screen configuration should be checked against the exact regional model.
Multitasking: useful tools, modest headroom
The tested US 5G configuration had 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Android Authority found apps opened reasonably quickly, but observed occasional stutters when switching among several demanding apps. That is a workload-specific review observation, not a controlled benchmark or a guarantee that every user will see the same result. Samsung UK also lists an 8 GB/256 GB option, so the review’s memory-related experience should not be applied uncritically to every configuration.

Gaming: casual play is a better fit than demanding titles
In the reviewer’s testing, most casual and mid-tier games ran well. More demanding games could be constrained to lower graphics settings or prove a poor fit. The review reports a MediaTek MT8775 chipset in the US and a Dimensity 7300 in global markets; processor and configuration details can vary by region. There is no sourced controlled benchmark here that supports a precise performance ranking.
Which A11+ specifications vary by region or configuration?
Samsung’s UK product page lists the following specifications and options. They are manufacturer specifications for that market, not evidence that every A11+ sold worldwide has identical components.

Samsung’s UK Galaxy Tab A11+ specifications are the source for these figures. The Android Authority review identifies different processor names for US and global versions, so check the exact model and market rather than assuming the UK listing describes every region.
What can storage expansion—and a longer update promise—actually do?
A microSD card can add room for files and media, up to the 2 TB capacity Samsung lists for the UK model. It does not add RAM or make apps switch faster, and it will not improve game performance. Expansion is useful if storage space is the problem, not if the tablet is stuttering under a heavy workload.

Samsung says it offers a Book Cover for the A11+. A cover can help protect the tablet or support hands-free viewing, but confirm compatibility with the exact A11+ model before buying. Samsung’s US announcement gives the accessory context, while the UK product page lists microSD support.
Who is the Galaxy Tab A11+ a good fit for?
- A reasonable fit: streaming, browsing, notes, everyday apps, split-screen use and casual or mid-tier games, based on the cited review and listed features.
- A less suitable fit: demanding games at high settings, frequent switching among several heavy apps, stylus-based work, or workflows that require DeX on an external monitor.
- Before choosing a configuration: verify region, Wi-Fi or 5G connectivity, processor, RAM and storage. The tested US 5G review unit was 6 GB/128 GB; Samsung UK lists both 6 GB/128 GB and 8 GB/256 GB options.
Samsung announced a US starting price of $249.99 and availability beginning January 8. Those are launch-era US facts, not a current price quote; check the current local listing and configuration before comparing value. Samsung’s announcement is the source for those launch details.

How does it compare with the Galaxy Tab A9+?
Android Authority says the A11+ is physically very similar to the A9+, making the older model useful as predecessor context for the design. That resemblance does not establish equivalent processors or performance, and the available evidence does not support a current side-by-side performance or value comparison. Treat each model’s regional configuration and price separately.
Samsung’s Philippines Galaxy Tab A9+ 5G specifications cover that market’s predecessor model; they are not a substitute for checking the A11+ version being considered.
