Where the Galaxy S26 has an advantage
It costs less at the listed US launch price
The S26’s $899 launch starting price was $200 below the Pixel’s for the listed 256GB configurations. That is the clearest price distinction in this comparison. Look at current local prices before deciding: a sale, trade-in or carrier offer may narrow or reverse the gap.

It is substantially lighter

Where the Pixel 11 Pro has an advantage
It has the higher listed display resolution
Both phones have a 6.3-inch screen, but the Pixel’s listed resolution is 2856 × 1280 compared with the S26’s 2340 × 1080. TechRadar also lists a 120Hz refresh rate and outdoor peak brightness up to 3,600 nits for the Pixel. These listed figures do not amount to a controlled, side-by-side display test.
Its battery capacity is larger, but endurance is unproven here
PhoneArena lists a 4,850mAh battery for the Pixel and 4,300mAh for the S26. TechRadar lists 30W wired and 25W wireless charging for the Pixel. Capacity alone cannot tell you how long a phone lasts: no matched controlled battery test for these two phones is established by the cited sources.

Its telephoto camera is specified more clearly
TechRadar lists a 50MP main camera, 48MP ultrawide and 48MP telephoto with 5x optical zoom for the Pixel. The sources cited here identify the S26 as having a triple rear-camera system but do not establish a complete, equivalent camera specification set. The Pixel’s listed telephoto hardware is useful context if you often photograph distant subjects, but specifications alone do not prove which phone takes better pictures overall.

Software, launch timing and durability
The Galaxy S26 launched with Android 16 and One UI 8.5, and its listed processor varies by region. The Pixel 11 Pro launched with Android 17 and Google Tensor G6. Google described the Pixel range as having camera upgrades and its fastest, most powerful chip, but that is the company’s product description, not an independent comparative test. Choose between them based on which Android interface and ecosystem you prefer; the sources cited here do not establish a verified support-duration comparison.
