Choose the Galaxy S25 if you want a smaller, lighter phone; choose the Galaxy S25+ if you’ll make use of its larger, sharper display, bigger battery and faster wired charging. Samsung lists the same camera setup and processor platform for both, so the Plus is mainly an upgrade in size, screen resolution and charging—not camera hardware. Your best value depends on the current price for the storage and sales channel you’re considering.

Which one is easier to carry and use?
Galaxy S25: the compact pick
The S25 weighs 162g and has a 6.2-inch display. Its 28g weight advantage over the S25+ and smaller body make it the better fit if you prefer a lighter phone or want a screen that takes up less space in your hand and pocket.

The S25+ weighs 190g and has a 6.7-inch display. That extra screen area can make viewing content and working across a larger interface more comfortable, but it comes with a larger, heavier phone. The choice is a matter of what feels useful to you, not a performance distinction established by these specifications.

How different are the displays?
Both phones use a Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The S25’s display is 6.2 inches with FHD+ resolution; the S25+ steps up to 6.7 inches and QHD+. Pick the Plus if you specifically want the larger, higher-resolution screen. If compactness matters more, the S25 keeps the same listed display technology and maximum refresh rate in a smaller format.
Does the S25+ have better battery life or charging?
Samsung lists a 4,000mAh battery and wired charging up to 25W for the S25, compared with 4,900mAh and up to 45W for the S25+. These figures give the Plus more battery capacity and a higher maximum wired charging rate, but they do not establish how long either phone lasts for a particular person. Usage and conditions affect real-world battery life and charging.

In its January 2025 launch material, Samsung estimated that the S25 could reach around 50% charge in 30 minutes with a 25W adapter and the S25+ around 65% in 30 minutes with a 45W adapter. These are manufacturer lab estimates under specified conditions, using specified adapters and a pre-release phone—not guaranteed results. Samsung Canada lists up to 29 hours of video playback for the S25 in its stated test context; that lab figure is not a prediction of typical runtime or a directly comparable test result for the Plus.
The 45W figure is a maximum wired charging rate. Check the package contents and local product listing before assuming an adapter is included.

Are the cameras or processor better on the Plus?
Samsung lists the same rear camera arrangement on both models: a 50MP wide camera, 10MP 3x telephoto and 12MP ultrawide. Both also list a 12MP front camera and the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy platform. On the published specifications, the S25+ is not a camera-system upgrade, and there is no listed processor difference to make it the higher-performance choice.
How long will Samsung support the phones?
Samsung said the Galaxy S25 series would receive seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates. That is Samsung’s series-wide support promise; it does not mean every regional software rollout will arrive at the same time.

How should you compare prices?
There is no verified current local price or price gap to use as a reliable verdict. Compare the two models at the same storage capacity and through the same type of offer—such as unlocked with unlocked, or carrier with carrier—in your market. Consider whether the larger display, battery capacity and faster maximum wired charging are worth the additional cost in the actual offers available to you. Launch pricing is not a substitute for a current like-for-like comparison.

Which Galaxy S25 should you buy?
- Buy the Galaxy S25 if you value a lighter, more compact phone and do not need the Plus’s larger, higher-resolution display.
- Buy the Galaxy S25+ if the 6.7-inch QHD+ screen, 4,900mAh battery and up-to-45W wired charging are worth the extra size and weight to you.
- Compare current local offers before deciding if the price difference is important; the value case depends on matching storage and sales channel.
