Should you buy the Galaxy S25 FE or the OPPO Reno15? The answer depends on which trade-offs matter most: Samsung lists wireless charging and a dedicated 3x optical telephoto camera, while the India-market OPPO Reno15 5G lists a larger battery, faster wired charging, and higher-resolution telephoto and selfie cameras. These are specification differences, not proof of which phone takes better photos or lasts longer. This comparison covers the base Reno15 5G, model CPH2825, with India-specific details clearly identified.

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE vs OPPO Reno15 5G at a glance

OPPO Reno15 is a family name, not one universal configuration. OPPO’s January 2026 global announcement covers multiple models, and features and availability vary by market. The detailed specifications and launch prices below apply to the base India-market Reno15 5G (CPH2825), not a Pro, Pro Max, F, or other regional model. Check your local model number before using the OPPO figures to make a purchase decision.

The S25 FE uses Samsung’s Exynos 2400 (4nm), while the India Reno15 5G uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. The chip names alone do not establish which phone is faster in everyday use, gaming, or sustained workloads; no comparable controlled benchmark is available here.

Camera hardware: zoom and selfie specifications differ

Samsung specifies a dedicated 8MP telephoto camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and 3x optical zoom. The India-market Reno15 5G lists a 50MP OIS telephoto camera and 3.5x optical zoom, alongside a 50MP OIS main camera and 8MP ultrawide. OPPO also lists a 50MP front camera with a 100° field of view, compared with Samsung’s 12MP front camera.

These figures describe hardware and listed zoom, not comparative photo quality. Megapixel counts do not establish detail, colour, low-light performance, or video quality. The cited OPPO specifications are for CPH2825 in India; verify the telephoto details against the exact local model before comparing it with the S25 FE.

  • The Galaxy S25 FE features a large, immersive Dynamic AMOLED display with smooth refresh rate and enhanced brightness, delivering vivid colors and sharp clarity whether you're streaming, browsing, or using it outdoors.

Battery, charging and size

For the cited India Reno15 5G, OPPO lists a typical 6,500mAh battery and maximum wired charging of 80W SUPERVOOC. Samsung lists a typical 4,900mAh battery and up to 45W wired charging for the S25 FE, plus fast wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare. Battery capacity and maximum charging rates do not show real-world endurance or charging time; those outcomes depend on usage and conditions.

Samsung says the 45W power adapter and 5A cable are sold separately, so include the cost of compatible accessories when comparing what you will pay. The Reno15’s India specifications list wired charging; they do not establish a wireless-charging feature.

The India Reno15 5G is shorter and narrower on the listed dimensions, but thicker and about 7g heavier: roughly 158 × 74.8 × 7.8–7.9mm and 197g, versus the S25 FE’s 161.3 × 76.6 × 7.4mm and 190g. OPPO notes that the Reno15 dimensions vary by colour.

Do not treat the US Samsung figure and India OPPO prices as a direct price difference: they come from different countries, dates, and storage configurations. For a current buying decision, compare the exact storage tier in your country and account for retailer discounts, trade-ins, taxes, and warranty terms.

Software updates and protection claims

Tom’s Guide reports that Samsung committed to seven years of software and security updates for the Galaxy S25 FE. The cited OPPO India specification page does not provide a directly comparable Reno15 update-duration commitment, so check OPPO’s local support terms before deciding which phone offers the better long-term policy.

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE, 128GB - Unlocked (Renewed)
  • The Galaxy S25 FE features a large, immersive Dynamic AMOLED display with smooth refresh rate and enhanced brightness, delivering vivid colors and sharp clarity whether you're streaming, browsing, or using it outdoors.

Samsung’s launch material specifies IP68 protection for the S25 FE. OPPO’s global release describes IP66/IP68/IP69 ratings for Reno15-series models, but that family-level statement should not be treated as a guarantee for every regional variant. Confirm the rating and its conditions for the exact Reno15 SKU available to you.

Which phone should you choose?

  • Consider the Galaxy S25 FE if you want Samsung’s listed 3x optical telephoto camera, wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare, or a reported seven-year update commitment.
  • Consider the India Reno15 5G if its locally available CPH2825 configuration suits you and you prioritize its listed 6,500mAh battery, up to 80W wired charging, higher-resolution telephoto and front cameras, or 256GB/512GB storage options.
  • Compare local listings before choosing on price. The published figures above are launch prices from different markets, not current like-for-like offers.

Neither the processor names nor camera megapixels settle which phone performs better in practice. If that is decisive, rely on comparable reviews of the exact regional models rather than inferring a winner from specifications.
