Which phone is slimmer and lighter?
Samsung documents the Galaxy S25 Edge at 5.8 mm thick and 163 g. The inspected OnePlus 15R specification page does not establish its dimensions or weight, so the evidence supports describing the S25 Edge’s build, but not quantifying how much thinner or lighter it is than the 15R.

How do the displays compare?
The S25 Edge has the higher stated resolution: Samsung lists a 6.7-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz. OnePlus lists a 1.5K display with a maximum 165 Hz refresh rate. In practical terms, Samsung’s published specification emphasizes resolution, while OnePlus’s emphasizes a higher maximum refresh rate. These specifications alone do not establish which screen looks better or feels smoother in typical use.
What do the camera specifications tell you?
Samsung lists a 200 MP main camera and a 12 MP ultrawide camera; its launch material describes 2× optical-quality zoom from the main camera. OnePlus lists a 50 MP Sony IMX906 main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8 MP ultrawide and a 32 MP autofocus front camera. Samsung’s listed front camera is 12 MP.
Megapixel counts and component descriptions are not a controlled camera test. They cannot establish which phone takes better photos, handles low light more effectively or produces better selfies. No independent side-by-side camera evaluation is established by the sources linked here.

OnePlus lists a 7,400 mAh battery, compared with Samsung’s typical 3,900 mAh capacity. OnePlus also specifies 80 W SUPERVOOC charging and says a charge from 1% to 50% takes around 23 minutes under its test setup. Samsung lists up to 24 hours of video playback for the S25 Edge; that is a manufacturer figure, not a head-to-head endurance result.

The larger OnePlus capacity is a meaningful specification difference, but it does not by itself prove longer real-world runtime. Usage, network conditions and settings affect battery life, and no independent direct endurance test is established here.
What is the price difference?
A reliable current price difference cannot be calculated from the available figures: they cover different countries, dates and offer conditions, rather than matched configurations sold at current local prices.

- Consider the Galaxy S25 Edge if a documented 5.8 mm, 163 g build and a QHD+ display matter most, or if Samsung’s stated 200 MP main-camera hardware is a priority. Its US launch prices are historical, so check a current quote in your market.
- Consider the OnePlus 15R if the listed 7,400 mAh battery, 80 W wired charging or up-to-165 Hz display is more appealing. The cited specifications are from OnePlus India; verify the model and current local price where you live.
The evidence here compares published specifications, not independently measured speed, heat, camera quality or battery endurance. Software support periods are also not directly comparable: Samsung lists security updates through May 31, 2032, while the inspected OnePlus page lists OxygenOS 16 but does not establish an equivalent support duration.
