The Samsung Galaxy M17 is the more compelling pick if you prefer an AMOLED screen and prioritize the longer software-support period listed by comparison sites. The Ai+ Nova 2 Pro 5G is listed with a larger, faster-refresh LCD, a higher-capacity battery and faster wired charging. Neither phone is an automatic winner: prices conflict across recent comparison snapshots, and the Ai+ specifications and update claims lack an official source here.

AMOLED or LCD: which screen suits you?
The M17’s listed Super AMOLED panel and the Nova 2 Pro’s listed IPS LCD panel prioritize different things. AMOLED is the choice to consider if contrast and deep blacks matter most to you. The Ai+ is listed with a larger display and a higher refresh rate, which may appeal if you value screen size and smoother motion. Those figures come from 91mobiles, not official Ai+ documentation, so verify the exact panel and refresh rate with a retailer or manufacturer before buying.

1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesM17 vs Nova 2 Pro battery and charging
91mobiles lists the Nova 2 Pro with 6,000 mAh capacity and 33 W charging, compared with the M17’s 5,000 mAh and 25 W. That gives Ai+ the advantage on the reported capacity and charging-power figures, but not a proven advantage in time away from an outlet: no comparable independent battery test for these two phones is available here. Actual endurance also depends on how a phone is used, so do not treat the capacity difference as a runtime guarantee.

Camera comparison: more cameras do not guarantee better photos
The reported rear-camera setups differ: three cameras on the M17, including a 5 MP ultrawide and 2 MP macro, versus two on the Nova 2 Pro, including an 8 MP ultrawide. These specifications describe the listed hardware, not image quality. Megapixel counts and camera totals cannot establish which phone takes better photos without comparable testing. Be careful not to substitute specifications for the distinct Ai+ Nova 2 5G: Gadgets360’s Nova 2 5G comparison concerns a different model.
Performance and software update support
91mobiles lists the M17 with an Exynos 1330 and the Nova 2 Pro with a Dimensity 7100, each with a maximum listed CPU frequency of 2.4 GHz. Equal peak frequency does not mean equal performance, and the comparison does not provide directly comparable benchmarks for the Nova 2 Pro. Treat the chipset entries as reported specifications rather than a performance verdict.

The same comparison lists Android 15 and six years of OS and security updates for the M17, versus Android 16, one year of OS updates and two years of security updates for the Nova 2 Pro. This reported support period favors Samsung, but confirm Samsung’s duration in its current support policy before relying on it. Ai+’s update figures are third-party-only here, so they should not be treated as an established company commitment.

Which phone should you choose?
- Lean toward the Galaxy M17 if AMOLED is your preference or you place weight on the longer update period listed for Samsung, after confirming the support duration with the manufacturer.
- Consider the Nova 2 Pro 5G if the listed larger 144 Hz LCD, higher battery capacity and faster charging matter more to you—and confirm those Ai+ specifications and the update commitment before purchase.
- Make the price decision only after checking current listings. The dated comparison snapshots disagree on which phone costs less, and the RAM variant can affect whether two prices are comparable.
