The Samsung Galaxy A56 and Galaxy F56 share core features such as a 6.7-inch-class 120Hz AMOLED display, a 5,000mAh battery, 45W charging support, and a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization. Their main documented differences are the A56’s Exynos 1580 chip and higher launch prices, versus the F56’s slimmer 7.2mm body and Gorilla Glass Victus+ on the front and back. Samsung’s specifications do not establish which phone performs better in real-world use.
Samsung Galaxy A56 vs F56: specifications at a glance
Both are India-market 5G phones launched in 2025. Samsung announced the A56 in March and the F56 on May 8. The table below reflects manufacturer-published specifications; it is not based on hands-on testing.

Samsung’s launch announcements describe the A56 display as Super AMOLED and the F56 display as Super AMOLED+. Those names alone do not establish a meaningful difference in viewing quality. Likewise, the processor model numbers are specifications, not benchmark results: without comparable independent tests, they do not show which phone is faster or better for gaming. Samsung’s Galaxy A-series announcement and its F56 launch announcement provide the cited specifications.

What the documented differences mean
Processor: model difference, not a proven performance verdict
Samsung specifies an Exynos 1580 for the A56 and an Exynos 1480 for the F56. The available comparison evidence does not include independent benchmarks or workload testing, so it cannot support a definitive claim about speed, gaming, thermals, or battery efficiency. If those are deciding factors, look for tests that compare both phones under the same conditions rather than choosing by chip name alone.

Build: the F56 is thinner and specifies Victus+ glass
Samsung lists the F56 at 7.2mm thick and highlights Gorilla Glass Victus+ on its front and back. The A56 launch materials give a 7.4mm thickness and emphasize Awesome Intelligence features. These published details establish a modest thickness difference and different product positioning; they do not, by themselves, establish a broader durability advantage or which device feels better in hand.
Shared display, camera, battery and charging headline features
Both phones have a 6.7-inch-class FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization, a 5,000mAh battery and support for 45W charging. These are specification-level similarities, not evidence of equal screen brightness, camera results, charging time or battery life in use.

Software support is a Samsung commitment
Samsung says both models will receive six generations of Android upgrades and six years of security updates. This is the manufacturer’s support promise, not proof that all promised updates have already been delivered.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which phone should you choose?
Choose by the factors you can verify for your intended configuration and use, rather than assuming one is universally better.
- Consider the F56 if its current price for the exact RAM and storage configuration is lower and you value its documented 7.2mm thickness and Victus+ front-and-back glass.
- Consider the A56 if its current price fits your budget and its product positioning, including the Awesome Intelligence features Samsung highlights, better matches what you want.
- Compare live prices carefully by matching storage and seller and checking both listings on the same day. The launch-price gap and the later marketplace snapshots are different kinds of price evidence.
- Do not choose on presumed speed alone unless you have independent tests relevant to your apps, games or other workloads.
What comes in the box?
Samsung’s A56 buying page says the box includes the smartphone, a data cable and an ejection pin, and that a travel adapter is not included. The cited sources do not establish the F56’s in-box contents, so check the listing or packaging details for that model rather than assuming they are the same. See Samsung’s Galaxy A56 buying page.
