The OPPO Reno16c 5G has a dedicated 3.5x optical telephoto camera, a larger stated battery and storage-card support; the Samsung Galaxy A37 5G has an IP68 rating and a published promise of up to six OS upgrades and six years of security updates. Which is better depends on whether camera reach and capacity or durability and documented software support matter more. Check the model and local price for your country before comparing: the specifications and prices below include India-specific OPPO details and Korea-specific Samsung details, not a like-for-like regional price comparison.
Check the region and model first
OPPO identifies the India Reno16c 5G as model CPH2859 and notes that Reno16 series models and prices vary across countries. Its India specifications and prices should not be assumed to apply elsewhere. OPPO India’s Reno16c details give the model and its listed configurations.

The Samsung figures below distinguish global support information from specifications and launch pricing published for Korea. Samsung’s India product page lists an 8GB/256GB Graygreen Galaxy A37 configuration, but cautions that specifications, prices and availability vary by location and can change. Camera comparison: the Reno16c adds optical zoom
The clearest camera distinction on paper is the Reno16c’s listed 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom and OIS. Samsung’s Korea-market A37 specifications list a main camera, ultrawide and macro camera, but no telephoto module. That gives the OPPO a dedicated lens for optical reach; it does not establish that its photos are better overall. The cited sources contain no comparative image-quality tests.

Battery capacity and charging
OPPO lists a 7,000mAh typical battery capacity and 6,850mAh rated capacity for the India Reno16c, plus 80W SUPERVOOC charging. Samsung Korea lists a 5,000mAh battery for the A37. These are manufacturer capacity figures, not measured battery-life results: screen use, network conditions and other factors affect runtime. The cited Samsung Korea specifications do not give a charging-wattage figure, so a direct charging-speed comparison is not established here.

Galaxy A37: published IP68 rating and support commitment
Samsung says the Galaxy A37 is IP68-rated and supports up to six generations of OS/One UI upgrades and up to six years of security updates. Samsung Korea qualifies the water-resistance rating as a laboratory test involving freshwater up to 1.5m deep for up to 30 minutes, and says beach or pool use is not recommended. Water resistance is not a guarantee against damage in every real-world situation. See Samsung Global Newsroom’s A37 announcement and Samsung Korea’s launch details.

Reno16c: support duration not established here
OPPO’s cited India overview identifies ColorOS 16.0 but does not state a directly comparable software-support duration. That leaves the support comparison unknown; it does not mean the Reno16c receives no updates.
Price difference: compare local prices for matching storage
OPPO India stated the following tax-inclusive Reno16c prices as correct on September 9, 2026; they are subject to change. Samsung Korea listed the A37 at ₩598,400 and said its Korean release would begin June 19, 2026. The Samsung figure is for Korea, so it cannot be used to calculate an India price difference against OPPO’s rupee prices.

- Choose the Reno16c if a dedicated 3.5x optical telephoto lens, the larger stated battery capacity, 80W charging or storage-card support fits your priorities. Its card format and capacity limit are not stated in OPPO’s cited overview.
- Choose the Galaxy A37 if IP68-rated protection and Samsung’s published up-to-six-year security-update and up-to-six-generation OS/One UI upgrade commitments are more important to you.
- Compare local listings before deciding on value. The India OPPO prices and Korea Samsung price above are for different markets, so they do not show which phone is cheaper where you live.
These distinctions are based on manufacturer specifications and announcements, not hands-on or independent performance testing. They support a choice by feature priorities, not a verdict about overall speed, photo quality or real-world battery life.
