What is the price difference in India?
The sourced prices do not establish a current, matched-variant difference. Samsung India’s A36 purchase page showed ₹36,999 for the 8 GB/128 GB configuration when accessed on 7 October 2026; this is a changeable listing price, not a permanent MSRP. Samsung’s 2025 M36 launch announcement gave introductory prices, while a third-party result surfaced a later price for a different memory configuration.

The ₹16,499–₹20,999 M36 figures are launch prices, not proof of current selling prices. Nor is it fair to subtract the M36’s 6 GB/128 GB third-party listing from the A36’s 8 GB/128 GB Samsung listing as if the phones and purchase conditions matched. Compare the same RAM and storage capacity on the same date, and check whether bank offers are included.

Which phone is better for storage and charging?
Choose the M36 for memory-card expansion
Samsung lists microSD support up to 2 TB for the M36. That gives you an option to add card storage for files and media. The reviewed A36 specification page does not list microSD support, so do not assume it can take a memory card.
Choose the A36 for faster stated charging
Samsung specifies 45 W charging for the A36 and 25 W for the M36. The A36 package does not include a travel adapter, so account for an appropriate adapter if you do not already have one. The listed wattage is not a promise of a particular real-world charging time.

How do the cameras and displays compare?
Both phones have a 50 MP main rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8 MP ultrawide, and a 120 Hz FHD+ Super AMOLED display. The A36’s third rear camera is specified at 5 MP, compared with 2 MP on the M36; the M36 has a 13 MP front camera, versus 12 MP on the A36. These hardware figures alone do not establish which phone takes better photos. No hands-on camera or display test is claimed here.

Which should you buy?
- Pick the Galaxy M36 5G if microSD expansion matters or you are prioritizing a lower-priced option. Verify its current price and seller, since its launch prices and later listings are not interchangeable.
- Pick the Galaxy A36 5G if 45 W charging and its higher-resolution third rear camera specification matter more to you, and its current price fits your budget.
- For long-term software support, Samsung advertises six generations of OS or Android upgrades and six years of security updates for both phones.
