Check the Galaxy A17 variant first
Samsung’s cited product pages cover both 4G and 5G versions of the Galaxy A17. Their configurations are not interchangeable, and specifications can vary by market. The microSD support cited below is confirmed for Samsung’s UK 4G version, not necessarily every Galaxy A17 SKU. vivo’s global V70 FE specifications also may not match every country’s configuration or network bands.

Where the V70 FE has the listed hardware advantage
Display
On paper, the V70 FE’s 6.83-inch, 2800 × 1260 display is larger and higher-resolution than the Galaxy A17 5G listing’s 6.7-inch, 2340 × 1080 screen. Its listed refresh rate also reaches 120 Hz, compared with up to 90 Hz on Samsung’s cited 5G page. Those figures describe screen size, resolution and refresh rate; they do not establish which display looks better in person.
Battery and charging
vivo lists a 7,000 mAh typical battery and 90 W charging. Samsung’s cited A17 page lists a 5,000 mAh typical battery, but the cited figure alone does not establish the A17’s charging speed. Battery capacity and charging power do not prove which phone lasts longer in real-world use: usage, software and network conditions affect endurance.

Cameras
The V70 FE lists a 200 MP OIS main camera and an 8 MP, 120° wide-angle camera. Samsung lists three rear cameras—50 MP, 5 MP and 2 MP—with OIS. The listed front cameras are 32 MP for vivo and 13 MP for Samsung. Megapixel counts and stabilization specifications do not establish which phone takes better photographs; no controlled comparison is established here.
Storage and durability
The cited UK Galaxy A17 4G page supports microSD cards up to 2 TB, while vivo’s global V70 FE page says ROM expansion is unsupported. Confirm that the exact Samsung version you are considering has the same support. vivo lists IP68 and IP69 ratings; a water-resistance rating for the cited Samsung evidence is not established, so do not infer one.

The vivo Spain prices were reported by Cinco Días; the US Samsung figures are listings from Samsung US. The Samsung US listing prices differ, so verify the live price. These figures cannot be directly subtracted to calculate a meaningful price difference: they are in different currencies and markets, and the storage tiers and retail inclusions do not match.

- Consider the vivo V70 FE if its larger, higher-resolution 120 Hz display, 7,000 mAh typical battery, 90 W charging, 200 MP OIS main camera or listed IP68/IP69 ratings match your priorities—and its local price and network configuration work for you.
- Consider the Galaxy A17 if you prefer its listed 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display or want microSD expansion on a model confirmed to support it. Verify whether the local model is 4G or 5G and check its exact specifications.
- Compare local prices only after matching the country, storage tier, network version and what is included in the box. The figures above do not establish which phone costs less in your market.
