Does the Samsung Galaxy A13 have screen recording?
Samsung’s current supported-model guidance reviewed here does not name the Galaxy A13. The same is true of Samsung Electronics Service’s Korean support list, which names some A-series phones but not the A13. These lists suggest the built-in recorder is not officially listed for the A13; they do not confirm how every regional or carrier-specific software build behaves. The Galaxy A13 support page lists manuals for Android 12, 13, and 14, but that does not tell you which version is installed on a particular phone. The title “Galaxy A13” also does not distinguish between 4G/LTE and 5G variants; the reviewed lists do not name either one. A Galaxy A13 5G owner has reported not finding the button in Samsung Community, but that is one user’s experience, not definitive compatibility guidance.

How to check for Screen recorder on your A13
- Open the Quick panel: Swipe down from the top of the screen. Depending on your software layout, you may need to swipe down again to see the expanded panel.
- Look for Screen recorder: If the control is not among the visible buttons, check the panel’s additional buttons or edit controls, if available on your phone.
- Try the control if it appears: Tap Screen recorder, choose from the settings offered, then tap Start recording. Samsung says a three-second countdown begins before capture; pause and stop controls appear during recording.
If you want to check for recorder settings, Samsung places them under Settings > Advanced features > Screenshots and screen recordings on devices that offer the feature. The menu names and layout can differ by software version.

Choose the available recording options
Samsung says built-in recorder options can include audio, video quality, screen size or area, and showing touch interactions. Which controls you see depends on the device and software. Review the choices shown before starting so the recording captures what you need.

Find the finished video
Samsung says recordings appear in Gallery under Screen recordings. Its stated default storage path is Internal storage > DCIM > Screen recordings. Menu names, paths, and layouts may vary by device and software version.
Be aware of protected content
Copyright protection can prevent some photos and videos from being recorded. A black screen or missing protected media in a capture may therefore be an intentional restriction rather than a recorder fault.

Understand Samsung’s version-specific limits
Samsung’s general guidance says Android 10 with One UI 2.5 allows recordings up to one hour or 4 GB. For Android 11 with One UI 3.0 or later, Samsung states there is no file-size or recording-time limit. These are version-specific instructions, not a test or confirmation of recording behavior on the Galaxy A13.

Before choosing a third-party recorder, check the permissions it requests and whether it provides the controls you need. Compare its audio and touch-indicator options and where it saves recordings with the built-in controls described above. Do not assume an app can capture protected content; Samsung says copyright protection may block recording certain photos and videos.

Why the answer can differ between A13 phones
