To change the name other devices see for your Samsung Galaxy, open Settings > About phone > Edit, enter a new name, and tap Done. If you mean the name of headphones, a car system, or another accessory already paired with your phone, rename that device from its Bluetooth settings entry instead.

Samsung says a phone’s name is visible when connecting through Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Its documented route on supported models is:

- Open Settings.

- Tap Edit.
- Enter the name you want to use.
- Tap Done to save it.

Samsung notes that screens and menu names can vary by model, operating system, and customization. Some devices may use About device or About tablet, followed by Device name. If you do not see the path above, use the search field in Settings and search for Device name. Rename a paired Bluetooth accessory
If the name you want to change is for an accessory shown in your phone’s paired-device list, use that accessory’s Bluetooth entry. Samsung US documents this route:
- Open Settings > Connections > Bluetooth.
- Tap the gear icon beside the paired device.
- Tap Rename.
- Enter the new name and tap Rename to confirm.
This changes the name of the paired entry in your Galaxy’s Bluetooth settings, not the name of the phone that other devices see. Samsung describes the process in its guide to connection options for Galaxy phones and tablets; its UK Bluetooth guide also describes renaming a paired device from its settings entry.
