What Safari Notify Me does
Apple describes Notify Me as an Apple Intelligence feature that can alert you when a website updates content you care about. For example, you can ask it to watch for a price or item change. You describe the change in ordinary language; Safari checks the page and sends a notification when it detects an update. Apple does not promise that checks happen in real time.

Set up Notify Me on a Mac
Apple’s Mac guide gives this setup sequence:
- Open the website you want to monitor in Safari.
- Click the Page menu in the Smart Search field.
- Choose Notify Me.
- Describe the content change you want Safari to look for.
- Optional: click Edit to choose a checking frequency or time.
- Click Done.
Safari sends a notification when it detects an update matching your request. The exact wording of the menu or controls can vary with the software version.

Set up Notify Me on an iPhone
A September 24, 2026, walkthrough from Cult of Mac describes this iPhone workflow:
- Open the page in Safari.
- Tap the Page Menu button in the Smart Search bar.
- Choose Notify Me.
- Describe the change you want Safari to watch for.
- Optional: tap Edit to adjust the schedule, then confirm.

Choose a checking schedule
Apple’s Mac guide confirms that you can adjust the checking frequency or time, but does not list the available intervals. Cult of Mac reports that the default is daily, with hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly options. Because hourly is the shortest interval described, do not treat Notify Me as an instant alert system; the sources do not establish a precise check time or delivery guarantee.

Availability and requirements
Notify Me relies on Apple Intelligence. Apple’s current Safari User Guide says Apple Intelligence on macOS 27 is not available in all languages or regions, and usage limits may apply. Apple also notes that feature availability can vary by language or region; check its Apple Intelligence language availability information for the current list.
