Where to find the Wolfbane Dagger recipe
The dagger is a crafted weapon, not reported as a loot drop. Its recipe is unlocked at a Dragonkin Effigy in Vekchenven Kara, located in central Fellhollow. A current route guide uses Lake of Lost Souls and Hope’s Fall as landmarks for reaching the vault; it does not provide reliable exact coordinates. The route guide’s directions are therefore best followed by landmarks rather than a coordinate pin.

How to reach the Dragonkin Effigy
- Use Lake of Lost Souls as your map landmark and travel toward Hope’s Fall, then continue to the entrance of Vekchenven Kara.
- Inside the vault, follow the route through its corruption pools and spectral crossings. When a spectral crossing or door blocks the way, enter a corruption pool to become Withered; the guide says this state lets you reveal or use Spectral Bridges and pass Spectral Doors.
- Continue through the vault to the Dragonkin Effigy holding a blue orb, then interact with it and commune. The recipe-unlock notification is the sign that the interaction succeeded.
These route details come from a current third-party guide rather than an official item-specific walkthrough, so use the in-game landmarks and obstacles to orient yourself rather than assuming precise coordinates.
Wolfbane Dagger crafting requirements
Two item references list the same requirements for making one dagger at a Blacksmith’s Bench:

GEGEBASE’s item listing and Games Lantern’s item listing agree on those quantities. However, the route guide reports a conflicting recipe: two Steel Bars, two Silver Bars, two Draconic Leather, and four Vault Shards. Treat the database quantities as reported listings, not a guarantee that every current game version displays the same recipe.
How to verify the recipe in game
After communing with the effigy, return to a Blacksmith’s Bench and select the Wolfbane Dagger recipe. Jagex’s crafting help explains that the crafting interface displays a recipe’s requirements and whether you have the resources; learned recipes can also be reviewed in the Journal. Check the recipe shown there before committing to the quantities above, particularly because published references conflict. Jagex’s crafting guidance also explains that eligible durability items can be repaired at a Crafting Table.

What the Wolfbane Dagger is useful for
According to GEGEBASE’s third-party item listing, the Wolfbane Dagger is a one-handed, power-level-5 melee dagger with stab damage, a seven-hit attack combo, 52 block, and 1,300 durability. The listing also reports a 25% damage increase against wolves. These are database-reported figures, not stats confirmed on an official Jagex item page; the clearest supported reason to pursue the weapon is its wolf-specific bonus, not a claim that it is the best dagger overall.

Jagex announced that RuneScape: Dragonwilds 1.0 launched on September 15, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The company describes it as an open-world co-op crafting and survival game.
