The announcement describes Hunter as one of several new skills planned for 2027. It does not give a separate release date for Hunter, so the first-half window for modding should not be assumed to apply to the skill.

The announcement does not explain Hunter’s progression, exact mechanics, or whether every named creature will be a target for the skill.
Will RuneScape: Dragonwilds have mod support?
Yes. Jagex says it plans official modding support, including dedicated creation tools plus an in-game browser and installer. The publisher’s stated aim is to make these available on all platforms. That is a platform-reach commitment in the announcement, not a detailed guarantee of identical tools, features, or mod availability on every platform.

- Inspired by the record-breaking online universe that’s captured the imagination of millions worldwide, RuneScape Kingdoms: Shadow of Elvarg is the official cooperative board game for 1-5 players.
Jagex targets the modding release for the first half of 2027, alongside Song of Rebellion, Secure Servers, and Leaderboards. No exact date is given. The announcement also does not specify supported mod types, how mods will be reviewed or moderated, or how cross-platform compatibility will work.
How does modding fit into the story roadmap?
The Blood Crystal Saga is planned as two chapters. Song of Rebellion comes first and centers on Rebel Elves opposing the Nos Clan in Ailddinas. Crown of Night follows, set in the Nos Clan’s perpetually eclipsed lands.
Before the saga, Jagex describes Luminance as a free update planned for December 2026. Announced content includes a Lyre, Songstones, Fairy Rings, character customization, new weapons and armor, a Prifddinas-inspired building kit, and Prayer. Jagex says it will share more details about Prayer closer to the update’s release.
How firm are the roadmap dates?
The first-half 2027 modding window and the December 2026 Luminance timing are plans announced by Jagex, not guaranteed delivery dates. Previous schedules have changed: a December 2025 roadmap described major updates intended quarterly and announced Farming with Fellhollow; in May 2026, Jagex revised the Kuldra’s Saga schedule, moving Agility forward to July, Prayer to the winter update, and Scorned Wilderness to September. Scorned Wilderness then arrived with the game’s September 2026 console launch.
