Feedly and Inoreader both document Reddit support, but it may not last: Inoreader reported on October 1, 2026 that Reddit plans to end RSS support on November 13, 2026. Feedly documents an account-connected Reddit integration, though the sources reviewed do not establish what will happen to it after that date. For other community sites, compatibility depends on the site and the reader—not simply on whether a reader calls itself an RSS app.
Which RSS readers document Reddit support?
Feedly and Inoreader are two documented options. Their Reddit features and the durability of those features differ, so check the service’s current guidance before relying on either for new Reddit posts.

| Feedly | Feedly’s help instructions explain how to connect a Reddit account. Its April 6, 2021 product article describes following communities, searches, the account homepage, and top or best feeds. | Connecting requires signing in to Reddit and authorizing Feedly. The reviewed pages do not say whether the integration will continue after Reddit’s announced RSS cutoff. |
| Inoreader | Inoreader lists Reddit feeds as a supported source. | In an October 1, 2026 update, Inoreader said Reddit plans to stop supporting RSS on November 13, 2026. The company said existing feeds would continue only while Reddit provides them, and it had not confirmed an alternative. |
How to follow Reddit with Feedly
- Open Feedly’s Reddit Feeds tab.
- Choose the option to connect a Reddit account, then sign in to Reddit.
- Authorize Feedly when prompted.
- Choose the communities or searches you want to follow. Feedly’s 2021 article also describes following an account homepage and top or best feeds.
Feedly said in its April 6, 2021 article that Reddit sources updated every 10 minutes and could provide up to 1,000 posts per source per day. Those are historical vendor-stated figures, not independently verified current limits; do not assume they still apply.
What Reddit’s announced RSS change means
Inoreader reported on October 1, 2026 that Reddit plans to end RSS support on November 13, 2026. Inoreader’s position at that time was that existing Reddit feeds would work only as long as Reddit continued providing them, and that no replacement was confirmed. This is a reported future change, not confirmation that the shutdown has already occurred.

Inoreader said: “Your existing Reddit feeds in Inoreader will continue to receive updates for as long as Reddit provides them.” It also said: “We can’t confirm an alternative yet, but we’ll share any updates here on our blog and through in-app announcements.” Read the October 1 Inoreader update for its latest statement. Feedly’s cited Reddit documentation predates this announcement and does not establish post-cutoff behavior.
Can an RSS reader follow other community sites?
Sometimes. A reader can follow a community site when that site offers a feed the reader accepts, or when the reader provides a specific integration for that source. Inoreader’s help describes following websites, blogs, newsletters, social feeds, and podcasts, and adding a source by name or URL. That does not mean every forum or social platform is supported, or that every site publishes an RSS feed.

For a community you care about, check whether the site itself offers a feed and whether your chosen reader can add it. If the site requires a dedicated integration or account connection, confirm that the reader supports that exact service and workflow. The available documentation does not establish a universal method for creating feeds from sites that do not provide them.
What to compare before choosing a reader
- Exact source: Confirm support for the specific subreddit, community site, or service you want—not just a general claim of social-feed support.
- Connection requirements: Check whether you must sign in to the source and authorize the reader, as Feedly’s Reddit setup requires.
- Available feeds: Look for the particular community, search, or other feed types you need.
- Freshness and volume: Use update intervals or item limits only when the provider has stated that they are current; Feedly’s cited Reddit figures date to 2021.
- Durability: For Reddit, check whether the service has announced a working alternative to RSS after November 13, 2026. Inoreader had not confirmed one as of October 1, 2026.
