For most living rooms, the Roku Plus Series is the best middle ground. It adds QLED or mini-LED options, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and a more capable voice remote without reaching Pro pricing. Choose Select when the lowest cost and a simple 4K streaming setup matter most. Choose Pro only when you specifically want premium panel hardware, a higher-end design or a verified 120Hz model.
The names describe TV families, not one fixed specification. Panel technology, ports, refresh rate and HDR support can change by size, model year and SKU, so use the exact model number when checking a retailer listing.

What Select gives you for the money
Select is the value choice when you mainly want Roku’s smart-TV interface and a large 4K screen at the lowest official price. The cited 4K Select line supports HDR10, Roku Smart Picture, voice control and Bluetooth Headphone Mode. Bluetooth headphones are useful in a bedroom or shared home because they let one person listen without turning up the television.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Its limits are deliberate. The Select feature set does not establish Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, mini-LED backlighting or a 120Hz gaming panel across the family. If your room has demanding HDR content, frequent console gaming or a need for powerful built-in audio, the initial saving may be less satisfying.
Why Plus is the everyday upgrade
Plus adds the improvements most viewers can notice without paying Pro-level prices. Roku identifies QLED and mini-LED on listed Plus models, along with Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and an enhanced voice remote that includes a lost-remote finder.
Picture
QLED can expand color capability, while mini-LED backlighting can provide more precise control than a basic direct-lit design. Those labels do not guarantee identical brightness or contrast at every size; compare the exact model’s dimming behavior and specifications before buying. Dolby Vision adds dynamic HDR metadata for compatible films and shows, but the television, streaming service and title must all support it.

- 5-in-1 USB-C Hub: Experience comprehensive connectivity featuring a Power Delivery input, two USB-A 2.0 ports, a USB-A 3.0 port, and an HDMI port. (Note: The USB-C power delivery input port is only for connecting an external wall charger to power your laptop and cannot power peripheral devices.)
- 90W Pass-Through Charging: Achieve optimal charging with 90W pass-through power to your laptop, supported by a total input of 100W, with the hub reserving 10W for operational efficiency. (Note: Wall charger not included.)

Please note that this hub is compatible with MacBook (macOS 12 and newer), Windows 10 and 11, ChromeOS, and laptops equipped with DP Alt Mode and Power Delivery. Sound and remote
Dolby Atmos support gives compatible soundtracks an object-based audio format. It does not automatically mean room-filling sound from the television’s built-in speakers, so a soundbar remains sensible if dialogue clarity or bass matters. The enhanced remote’s lost-remote feature is a small but practical advantage in a busy living room.
What makes Pro different
Pro is Roku’s premium family, but it is not a single hardware configuration. Roku’s current finder includes Pro QLED and Dolby Vision IQ models, while a 2026 review documents a separate Pro OLED configuration with 4K OLED, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, 120Hz and HDMI 2.1.
That variation is why “Pro” alone is not enough evidence for a refresh-rate or port claim. A 120Hz panel can make fast sports and compatible games look smoother, and HDMI 2.1 features can matter for newer consoles, but verify that the particular size and model number actually include them. Do not assume every Pro television is OLED, 120Hz or HDMI 2.1.

- Sleek 7-in-1 USB-C Hub: Features an HDMI port, two USB-A 3.0 ports, and a USB-C data port, each providing 5Gbps transfer speeds. It also includes a USB-C PD input port for charging up to 100W and dual SD and TF card slots, all in a compact design.
- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)
- Double Up on Efficiency: The two USB-A 3.0 ports and a USB-C port support a fast 5Gbps data rate, significantly boosting your transfer speeds and improving productivity.
- Fast and Reliable 85W Charging: Offers high-capacity, speedy charging for laptops up to 85W, so you spend less time tethered to an outlet and more time being productive.

Choose by room and use
Bedroom or guest room
Select is usually the rational choice. Its cited 4K/HDR10 feature set, voice remote and Bluetooth Headphone Mode cover the common needs while keeping the purchase price down.

Choose Plus when the budget allows. QLED or mini-LED options, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos address picture and sound upgrades that are useful for varied streaming households.
Bright room
Start with Plus or Pro, then inspect the exact model’s brightness and local-dimming specifications. The series names establish display technologies, not a universal measured brightness result. Independent measurements for one size should not be applied to every other size.

Gaming and sports
Check the specification sheet for 120Hz and HDMI 2.1 rather than relying on the Pro label. The reviewed 2026 Pro OLED is the cited example with 120Hz; other generations and panel types may differ.
Wall-mounted or sound-focused setup
Plus supplies Dolby Atmos support, while selected Pro models add more premium hardware and design. Budget separately for a soundbar if the television’s built-in speakers are unlikely to fill the room.

- Decide the screen size and viewing distance before comparing series. A larger Select may be preferable to a smaller Pro if size is your priority.
- Write down the exact model number, not just “Select,” “Plus” or “Pro.”
- Confirm panel type, HDR formats, refresh rate, HDMI 2.1 support and audio features on that SKU’s listing.
- Compare the current price with Roku’s finder and at least one retailer, noting whether the figure is a sale or a starting price.
- Check the retailer’s return policy, delivery damage coverage and stock status before payment.
Bottom-line recommendation
Select is the clear value tier. Plus is the broadest recommendation because its listed QLED or mini-LED options, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and improved remote address common living-room complaints. Pro earns its premium when a specific model delivers the panel, design or 120Hz gaming features you actually want. In every case, match the size, SKU, current price and return terms before ordering.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do all Roku Plus TVs use mini-LED backlighting?
No. Roku’s current listings identify mini-LED and QLED on listed Plus models, so the panel technology must be confirmed for the exact size and model number.
Is every Roku Pro TV 120Hz?
No. A reviewed 2026 Pro OLED configuration is documented with a 120Hz panel, but Pro is a family spanning generations and panel types. Verify the individual specification sheet.
Why can the same Roku series have different specifications?
Select, Plus and Pro are product families. Roku can vary panel type, ports, refresh rate and HDR support by model year, screen size and SKU.
