To remove a Samsung Camera watermark from a photo already saved in Gallery, try Object Eraser if your Galaxy device offers it. Turning off Camera’s watermark setting only prevents watermarks on future photos; Samsung says it cannot delete one already applied.
Remove the watermark with Object Eraser
Samsung Australia documents Object Eraser as a way to edit an existing image on Australian-variant Galaxy devices. Menu names and availability may differ by model, software version, and region; some Gallery versions may not offer the tool.

- Open Gallery and select the photo.
- Tap Edit.
- Open the more-options menu (three dots) and choose Object Eraser, if available.
- Highlight the watermark, then tap Erase.
- Tap Done, then Save.
These are the steps in Samsung Australia’s Object Eraser instructions, dated August 10, 2026 and intended for Australian-variant devices. They do not guarantee a seamless result: the instructions do not quantify image quality or explain how every background will be reconstructed. Keep an untouched original and inspect the saved edit at full size, especially if the watermark overlaps important detail.

Stop the watermark appearing on future photos
In Camera, tap Settings and find Watermark; turn its switch off. Depending on the device, this menu can also let you customize the displayed model name, show or hide the date and time, and change the font and alignment.

This setting controls capture behavior, not existing images. Samsung India support states: “Once a watermark has been applied to a photo it cannot be deleted.” Its watermark guidance, last updated October 4, 2023, explains that the Camera watermark feature cannot remove a watermark already on a photo.

What if Object Eraser is missing or the result looks poor?
- No Object Eraser option: The documented path is not guaranteed on every Galaxy device. Check the Gallery editing options available on your model and software version; Samsung’s cited instructions do not provide a complete compatibility list.
- The edited area looks unnatural: Undo or return to the untouched original and try selecting the watermark more carefully, if the editor allows it. Review the saved image before sharing it.
- The mark came from another app or service: The Samsung guidance here covers Samsung Camera watermarks only. Other apps may use different editing tools or restrictions.
