Does the Redsbaby JIVE convert to a tandem?
Yes, some JIVE models can be converted to a double using a compatible second-seat kit. Redsbaby describes its JIVE⁵ Second Seat as a conversion to a double and says the kit includes upper and lower adaptors. That does not mean every JIVE is a tandem stroller out of the box, or that second-seat kits from different generations can be mixed.

Identify the model and, if it is an earlier JIVE, its production batch before selecting a second-seat kit. Redsbaby’s broader JIVE/METRO accessories page groups accessories by stroller family, but family-level branding does not confirm fit for an individual chassis. Use the specific accessory’s compatibility list instead.

Redsbaby labels the JIVE⁵ Second Seat “Discontinued” on its product page, although the indexed listing also showed “IN STOCK.” Those labels do not establish current availability. Check the live listing or contact the manufacturer before planning a purchase.
What the JIVE2 manual says about tandem setup
The JIVE2 second-seat manual is specific to the JIVE2 chassis. It sets a maximum child weight of 17 kg for the lower seat and describes approved seating configurations; these limits should not be applied to another JIVE generation.

- The lower seat must face forward.
- The lower seat must not be used when the upper seat is parent-facing in the upright or mid-upright position.
- The second seat is compatible only with the JIVE2 chassis, according to that manual.
Read the JIVE2 Second Seat manual alongside the instructions for your own stroller. Its 17 kg limit and setup restrictions apply to the JIVE2 instructions, not automatically to later or earlier models.

The verified product information establishes that certain JIVE models can use a second seat, the named compatibility range for the JIVE⁵ kit, and JIVE2-specific lower-seat rules. For a purchase decision, first match the chassis generation and batch to the exact kit, then consult the relevant manual for permitted seating arrangements and child-weight limits. Do not choose a kit merely because its adaptors or fabrics look similar to those for another JIVE generation.
