The Redmi has the higher listed resolution: 2772 × 1280, which Xiaomi describes as 1.5K. The realme’s panel is FHD+ at 1272 × 2772. The realme lists the higher maximum refresh rate, 144Hz compared with Xiaomi’s 120Hz. A higher refresh rate can make supported motion appear smoother, while greater resolution means more pixels; actual experience also depends on settings, content and apps. Choose based on which matters more to you rather than treating either maximum as a complete measure of display quality.

Battery capacity versus charging speed
realme lists a 7000mAh typical battery (6830mAh rated), while Xiaomi lists 6500mAh typical. Xiaomi’s listed wired charging is faster on paper at 100W versus realme’s 80W Ultra Charge. These figures do not establish which phone lasts longer in everyday use or how long either takes to charge under the same conditions; no matched endurance or charging test is available here.
Camera hardware: similar headline, incomplete verdict
Both manufacturers list a 200MP OIS main rear camera and an 8MP ultra-wide. The realme lists a 50MP selfie camera; Xiaomi lists 32MP. realme identifies its main sensor as a Samsung HP5, 1/1.56-inch sensor. Xiaomi’s page gives a 1/1.4-inch figure, but sensor size and megapixel count alone are not enough to rank image quality. Without independent side-by-side photo and video results, there is no sound basis to declare a camera winner.

Chip, memory and storage
The Redmi uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4; the realme uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 Max. The listed configurations overlap at 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB, but differ at the entry and top storage options: realme lists an 8GB+128GB version, while Xiaomi lists a 12GB+512GB version. realme specifies LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The available specifications do not establish comparative benchmark, gaming or sustained-performance results.

Xiaomi lists IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K resistance. It says testing took place under specified laboratory conditions, warns protection is not assured outside those conditions, and says liquid damage outside them is not covered by warranty. These ratings should not be read as a promise that the phone is waterproof. realme lists IP69 on its product marketing page; that separate claim does not establish that its certification conditions are identical to Xiaomi’s.

Xiaomi lists HyperOS 3, NFC and Bluetooth 5.4. realme lists realme UI 7.0, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4, and states that eSIM is unsupported. The Xiaomi India specifications list an adapter, USB Type-C cable, SIM tool and protective case in the box. realme lists a charger and protective case, while noting that package contents may vary by market. Check the package for your region and retailer.
What is the price difference in India?
The available figures cannot establish a current like-for-like gap. Xiaomi’s catalog displayed the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G at ₹39,999 when crawled on October 5, 2026; this is a dated catalog snapshot, not a guaranteed current selling price. A realme Community India post dated January 6, 2026 reported ₹31,999 for the 8GB/128GB realme 16 Pro 5G, a ₹3,000 bank offer and a first sale scheduled for January 9. That is community-posted launch information, not a current official store price. The configurations differ, and the figures come from different dates, so subtracting them would not produce a valid current price difference.

For a useful comparison, check both manufacturers’ current India listings on the same day, select equivalent storage where possible, and distinguish bank or exchange offers from the regular price. Xiaomi also reports service figures on its product page, attributing them to “Counterpoint Study, 2025”: 52% of issues resolved within four hours versus a stated industry average of 47%, and 37% resolved for less than ₹1,000 versus a stated industry average of 28%.
