What changes in everyday-relevant hardware?
Processor: a different platform, not a proven speed result
The Note 13 Pro+ uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 7200-Ultra, while the Note 14 Pro+ moves to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. That is a clear platform change, but the specifications alone do not establish how much faster either phone is in apps, games, or sustained workloads. No independent benchmark results are established here.

Display: same resolution and refresh rate, higher stated peak brightness
Both Xiaomi pages list a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with 2712 × 1220 resolution and a refresh rate up to 120 Hz. Xiaomi gives the Note 14 Pro+ a 3000-nit peak-brightness figure, compared with 1800 nits for the Note 13 Pro+. These are manufacturer specifications; they do not by themselves show typical brightness in every setting. The newer model also lists Gorilla Glass Victus 2 rather than Gorilla Glass Victus.
Battery and charging: a modest capacity increase on paper
Xiaomi lists a typical 5110 mAh battery for the Note 14 Pro+ and 5000 mAh for the Note 13 Pro+. Both pages state 120 W charging. Capacity and charging ratings do not establish real-world battery life or charging time, which can depend on usage, conditions, region, and the supplied charger. No independent endurance comparison is established here.

Cameras: similar headline hardware, not proof of equal photos
Both listed rear-camera arrays include a 200 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultrawide and a 2 MP macro camera. Xiaomi’s Global Note 14 page additionally specifies optical image stabilization and a 1/1.4-inch sensor for its main camera. Matching megapixel counts do not demonstrate matching image quality; sensor processing, optics, software and test conditions matter, and no independent photo comparison is established here.
Durability: shared IP68 claims with qualifications
Xiaomi lists IP68 for both models, subject to laboratory conditions and regional qualifications on its product pages. This is not a promise of protection in every real-world exposure. Xiaomi also says the Note 14 Pro+’s overall rigidity is increased by 10% compared with the previous generation, based on Xiaomi Internal Labs; treat that as a manufacturer claim, not an independent durability test.

Memory options depend on market
The configurations listed on Xiaomi’s Spanish Note 13 page are 8 GB + 256 GB and 12 GB + 512 GB. Xiaomi’s German Note 14 page lists 8 GB + 256 GB, 12 GB + 256 GB and 12 GB + 512 GB. These country-specific lists are not a guarantee that the same choices are sold where you live. The cited pages also use different listed memory technologies, so do not assume that equal capacity means identical memory specifications.
Before buying, check the exact regional product listing for the RAM and storage tier, memory technology, included accessories and warranty terms. Cases and other model-specific accessories should be checked against the exact phone: do not assume a Note 13 Pro+ case fits the Note 14 Pro+.

What is the price difference?
Xiaomi’s Note 14 Series announcement gives a suggested retail starting price of USD 449. That is launch-era global pricing guidance, not a current transaction price or a matched comparison with the Note 13 Pro+. The available information does not establish today’s local prices for both phones, so it cannot support a reliable current price difference.
For a meaningful comparison, check prices in the same country and on the same date for matching RAM and storage. Compare like with like: a sale price for one model against a sale price for the other, or each model’s regular listed price. Also check whether the seller is authorized and what warranty applies. A lower price for a different memory tier or a temporary promotion is not a direct measure of the models’ usual price gap.

Which phone should you choose?
- Consider the Note 14 Pro+ 5G if you want the newer Snapdragon platform, Xiaomi’s higher stated peak-brightness figure, Victus 2 glass or the slightly larger listed battery—and the local price for your preferred configuration makes sense.
- Consider the Note 13 Pro+ 5G if it is meaningfully less expensive in the same market and storage tier, and its display, battery and feature set meet your needs.
- Do not decide from the 200 MP label, 120 W rating or IP68 mark alone. Both models list these headline features; specifications do not establish identical camera results, battery life or protection outside stated test conditions.
Xiaomi’s Global Note 14 page identifies the “previous generation” as the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G. The upgrade is therefore easiest to describe as a change in platform and selected refinements, not a wholesale change to the headline camera, charging or display-resolution specifications.
