There is no single best rechargeable light bar for every job: slim cabinet lights, portable task lights and under-hood work lights solve different problems. For a kitchen or wardrobe, compare Feit Electric’s rechargeable cabinet bars and Energetic’s dimmable 12-inch light. For workshop or vehicle use, consider the DEWALT DCL182 or LitezAll Rechargeable Bar Light; the Nightstick SLR-2120 is a more specialized area light. Manufacturer and retailer specifications can help narrow the choice, but they do not establish independent performance or universal availability.
Choose the right kind of rechargeable light bar
Start with where the light will go. Cabinet and wardrobe bars are slim, mounted fixtures intended to illuminate a counter, shelf or closet. Portable task lights are built to move between work areas, while under-hood and emergency area lights are designed for vehicle or job-site tasks. Brightness and runtime figures are useful only when compared within the same kind of use and at the stated operating mode.

When to choose a Feit bar
Feit’s three listed lengths offer a straightforward way to match a bar to the available cabinet or shelf space. The 12.5-inch model has the clearest single pairing of stated output and runtime. For the 14.5-inch model, note that the manufacturer’s descriptive copy says up to 8.5 hours while its specification block lists 290 lumens; those figures are not a published brightness-versus-runtime test. The 16.5-inch page supplies a lumen figure but no runtime in the cited product details.

When dimming or a sensor matters
Energetic’s listing is useful if you want explicit brightness-and-runtime combinations: its longest stated runtime is at the lowest brightness, not at full output. The listing also gives a three-hour charge time and a rechargeable battery specification. TLW Global’s 2026 brochure describes a built-in PIR sensor and several mounting choices, with output varying by bar length. These are published specifications, not independently verified results.
If you want another cabinet-light shape rather than a bar, Feit’s BPUCLPUCK/830/BAT is a motion-sensing puck fixture. Feit lists 100 lumens, up to six hours of continuous use and up to three hours to full charge. It is an alternative form factor, not a direct bar comparison.

Portable task, vehicle and emergency lights
Portable lights serve a different purpose from fixed cabinet bars, so compare their output and runtime only as the manufacturer states each operating mode.

Read brightness and runtime together
Do not treat a maximum-lumen figure and a maximum-runtime figure as if they describe the same setting. DEWALT lists up to 1,000 lumens on high, but its up-to-12-hour runtime condition relates to low mode. LitezAll’s listed high-beam figures are paired at 450 lumens and four hours. Nightstick’s product page provides a high-flood runtime, but the cited details do not pair that figure with a lumen output.

How to choose before buying
- Measure the mounting space. Match a cabinet bar’s listed length to the shelf, cabinet or work surface where it will sit. For a portable light, think instead about where it can be attached or stored.
- Set a practical brightness target. Compare lumen figures only where they are provided, and check whether they refer to high mode, a dimming percentage or another stated setting.
- Check runtime at that setting. A long runtime at low brightness may not suit work that needs full output. Prefer specifications that tie runtime to a named mode or brightness level.
- Confirm how it charges. Check whether the bar uses USB or USB-C, whether a cable or power supply is included, and whether a stated charging time depends on a particular adapter. DEWALT’s stated 85-minute condition, for example, requires a 5V 3A power supply/brick that is not included.
- Choose a mounting method you can live with. Magnetic brackets make some bars removable; adhesive pads and brackets suit other installations. Portable models may add magnets, a carabiner or a cradle.
- Verify the exact model and local stock. Product details and inventory can change by seller and region. Confirm the model number, current specifications and availability where you plan to buy.
