Choose the realme P3 Ultra 5G if you want the stronger chipset, the curved 1.5K display, the 8MP ultra-wide camera and 80W wired charging, and you can spend roughly ₹9,000 to ₹10,000 more at launch prices. Choose the realme P3 5G if budget matters most and its 45W charging, flat display and 2MP ultra-wide camera are acceptable. Both phones were launched in India on March 19, 2025, and the prices below are those launch figures, not current prices.
Specs side by side
Both phones share a 6000mAh battery and a 50MP main camera, so the differences sit mainly in the processor, display shape, charging speed and the ultra-wide camera. The table uses realme’s launch material and the India Today Tech comparison as sources, and each row notes where a figure comes from.

Performance: chipset and benchmark claims
The Ultra is built around the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultra, while the P3 uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4. On paper, that makes the Ultra the higher performance tier.

Use them to understand the intended tier gap, not as a guaranteed speed difference in daily use.
#1 Best Overall
- Compatible with Realme P3 Ultra Phone Cases
- The phone case features a matte PU leather exterior with a TPU frame and magnetic plate, offering skin-friendly, slim, and comfortable materials.
- The screen edges and camera frame are fully wrapped with elevated protection to effectively prevent scratches. It withstands minor drops, bumps, and impacts.
- Soft-padded edges provide a comfortable grip and resist deformation. Built-in magnetic plate enables use with car mounts and other accessories.
- Stylish appearance meets precise cutouts, allowing full access to all ports and the camera. Buttons offer soft, responsive tactile feedback for effortless operation.
In India Today Tech’s hands-on comparison, the reviewer found the Ultra faster in its test period. The same review also reported multitasking limitations on both phones, so buyers who keep many apps open should weigh that before paying for the higher tier.
Display
The Ultra’s 1.5K quad-curved AMOLED panel is the main display difference. The P3 is described as a smaller, flat 120Hz AMOLED screen. Both run at 120Hz, so refresh rate does not separate them. Choose based on resolution, screen shape and personal preference for curved edges. realme’s product page lists the Ultra’s display features, and the reviewer’s brightness observations apply only to the review’s test conditions.
Battery and charging
Battery capacity is identical at 6000mAh. The clear difference is wired charging: 80W on the Ultra against 45W on the P3. Charging times depend on the charger, cable and battery temperature, so treat the wattage gap as a ceiling rather than a fixed time saving. The India Today Tech reviewer reported faster charging on the Ultra during testing, and battery duration figures from that review are the reviewer’s own observations, not guarantees.

Cameras
Both phones use a 50MP main camera, so the main shot is not the separator. The ultra-wide lens is. The Ultra’s 8MP ultra-wide compares with 2MP on the P3, and realme’s product page advertises a Sony camera and 4K at 60fps video for the Ultra. In India Today Tech’s review, the Ultra produced stronger results overall. Those image-quality judgments are the reviewer’s, made under the conditions of that review, and they are not lab measurements.
Prices: launch figures and the difference
realme announced the India launch on March 10, 2025, and sales began with the March 19, 2025 launch. Business Standard reported the following launch prices for each configuration.
| Configuration | realme P3 Ultra 5G (launch price) | realme P3 5G (launch price) |

The base-model gap at launch was ₹10,000 (₹26,999 for the Ultra 8GB/128GB against ₹16,999 for the P3 6GB/128GB). A like-for-like comparison at the same 8GB/128GB tier widens the gap to ₹9,000 (₹26,999 against ₹17,999). At 8GB/256GB the gap is ₹8,000 (₹27,999 against ₹19,999). These figures are arithmetic from launch list prices. - Choose the realme P3 Ultra 5G if you want the higher-performance chipset, the curved 1.5K display, the 8MP ultra-wide camera, 80W charging, and you can pay about ₹8,000 to ₹10,000 more at matching storage tiers.
- Choose the realme P3 5G if price is the deciding factor, you are content with a flat 6.67-inch display and 45W charging, and you do not rely on the ultra-wide lens for much photography.
- Consider neither on specs alone if you run many heavy apps at once, since the review found multitasking limits on both phones. Test your own workload before committing.
Before you buy
- Check the live price for the exact RAM and storage configuration you want, on the same seller for both phones.
- Confirm whether the displayed price is a list price or a conditional offer that depends on a bank card or exchange.
- Check realme’s official P3 and P3 Ultra product pages for the regional specification wording at the time of purchase.
- Expect real-world battery life, camera output and performance to vary with usage, and note that software features can differ by region and software version, as realme states.
The realme announcement, which describes both phones as India-exclusive launches, is the source for the launch identity and the company’s chipset, battery and charging claims. The benchmark scores are manufacturer claims that realme itself has not presented as independent verification.
In the words of realme’s launch announcement, the company set out to “redefine the smartphone experience” with the two models on March 19, 2025. Whether the Ultra’s extra cost is worth it depends on how much you use the features it adds.
