The realme GT 7 is the performance-focused phone of the two on paper: it lists a MediaTek Dimensity 9400e, LPDDR5X memory, UFS 4.0 storage and 120W wired charging. The vivo T5 Pro puts more weight on battery capacity and display size, with a 9020mAh battery, a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel and refresh rates up to 144Hz. Neither set of manufacturer specifications tells you how either phone will behave after long gaming sessions or how its camera performs in daily use, and the prices we could see in early October 2026 do not agree with each other, so there is no single price difference to quote.
Specifications side by side
The table below uses the figures each manufacturer publishes. Where a detail was not listed on the page we reviewed, the cell says so rather than filling the gap.

Processor and memory
The GT 7’s platform is the main reason realme positions it for performance. The Dimensity 9400e is paired with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.0 storage, while the T5 Pro uses a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 with LPDDR4X and UFS 3.1. On paper, the GT 7 has the newer memory and storage standards, which generally mean higher theoretical bandwidth. Whether that turns into smoother gaming, faster app launches or lower throttling depends on software tuning and cooling, and none of those were measured for this comparison.

The two battery figures are not directly comparable. realme’s 7000mAh is a typical-equivalent value for a dual-cell design; its rated capacity is 6850mAh. vivo’s 9020mAh is the figure given on its India specification page, and the material reviewed does not describe it as a typical-equivalent value, so the like-for-like gap is uncertain. Using realme’s rated figure and vivo’s listed figure, the T5 Pro is about 2,170mAh larger on paper.

Charging runs the other way. The GT 7 is rated at 120W, while the T5 Pro reaches 90W with the official standard charger. Those figures describe peak input power. A higher number may shorten a charge, but the actual time to full depends on the charger you use, the temperature and how the phone manages charging.
Display
The vivo panel is the one with a published size and refresh range: 6.83 inches, 2800×1260 resolution and up to 144Hz on an AMOLED panel. realme’s global page describes an 8T LTPO display and lists the GT 7’s screen size and maximum refresh rate as not stated in the material reviewed, so check the India listing before comparing those two numbers.

Brightness needs care. realme’s 6000-nit figure is a local peak value. vivo lists two numbers, a 2000-nit high-brightness mode value and a 5000-nit local peak. These are measured under different conditions by different companies, so a higher headline number does not show which screen is easier to read outdoors. The GT 7 also has touch-sampling and gaming-touch features that realme highlights; vivo’s listing does not give an equivalent figure, so that feature cannot be compared directly.

vivo lists a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera with a 2MP bokeh sensor and a 32MP front camera. realme highlights an IMX906 sensor and 4K Dolby Vision video, but the complete rear and front camera arrangement is not stated on the page reviewed. Sensor names and megapixel counts tell you what hardware is inside, not how the photos look. For that, read camera tests of the specific India model.

Water and dust resistance
The vivo T5 Pro lists IP68 and IP69. The GT 7’s global page lists IP69 and describes the test conditions and wear caveats behind that rating. Both ratings are laboratory conditions set by the manufacturer. Neither makes a phone immune to water damage, and whether liquid damage is covered under warranty depends on the warranty terms, not the IP code.
Software and updates
vivo’s current product page lists Android 16 with OriginOS 6.0 for the T5 Pro. The realme global page does not establish the India software version of the GT 7 or a support promise. Before choosing on software, check the realme India site for the current build and the number of major Android updates and security patches promised for your model.

Price difference: what the listings show
Three price references were visible on 7 October 2026, and they describe different things:
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →| Source | Model and variant | Price | What the price represents |
|---|---|---|---|
| realme India campaign page | GT 7; variant not stated | From ₹32,999 | Promotional starting price; live terms not confirmed |
| vivo India online shop | T5 Pro 5G, 8GB+128GB | ₹41,999 (MRP ₹55,999) | Official shop listing |
| 91mobiles comparison (Amazon) | GT 7 | ₹50,999 | Marketplace snapshot |
| 91mobiles comparison (Amazon) | T5 Pro | ₹37,497 | Marketplace snapshot |
Depending on which pair you take, the GT 7 is either ₹9,000 cheaper (₹32,999 campaign price against vivo’s ₹41,999 8GB+128GB official listing) or ₹13,502 more expensive (₹50,999 against ₹37,497 on Amazon). Neither pair is a like-for-like comparison: the realme campaign variant is not identified, and the Amazon listings may be different variants or carry different offers. Treat these numbers as snapshots that move daily, not stable street prices.
How to compare the same variant at checkout
- Choose one memory and storage tier first. vivo’s listed India-relevant option with the lowest storage is 8GB+128GB; find the matching realme configuration on the realme India store, or note that none is listed.
- Open the realme India store and the vivo India online shop, and record the list price, any MRP and the selling price for that tier.
- Note bank offers, exchange values, no-cost EMI and coupons separately. Add them only if they apply to your card or device.
- On Amazon.in, check the seller, whether it is sold by the brand or a third party, the warranty terms and the delivery date for each listing.
- Write down the seller and the date beside each price. A comparison without those two details cannot be repeated later.
vivo states that the box includes a case and a pre-applied protective film. Budget for a separate protector only if you want a different one.
Which phone fits which buyer
- Choose the realme GT 7 if chipset, memory and storage type and fast charging matter most to you, and the India price for the variant you want is competitive on the day you buy.
- Choose the vivo T5 Pro if you want the larger battery figure, a published 6.83-inch 144Hz display and an IP68 plus IP69 rating, and the 8GB+128GB or larger configuration fits your budget.
- Do not decide on specifications alone if battery life, sustained gaming or camera quality drive your choice. Those depend on tests of the exact India models, which these listings do not provide.
On the listed specifications, the GT 7 is the better match for performance and charging speed, and the T5 Pro for battery capacity and screen size. Which one costs less depends entirely on the variant, seller and offer you compare on the same day.
