The realme 16 Pro+ leads on main-camera resolution, maximum refresh rate and selfie-camera resolution. In India, the GT 7 is listed at ₹41,999 on both comparison pages cited below, while the 16 Pro+ is listed at ₹50,499 on 91mobiles and ₹56,599 for a 12GB+256GB variant on Smartprix. This article compares listed specifications and listed prices. It is not based on hands-on testing, and the GT 7 figures come from comparison sites rather than an official realme page.
Side-by-side specifications
The table below separates official realme listings from figures taken from third-party comparison pages. The source of each value is stated in its cell, because the two phones are not documented to the same standard.

How the specifications compare by category
Processor and performance
The GT 7 is listed with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400e, and the 16 Pro+ with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. Chip names alone do not settle real-world speed, since sustained performance also depends on thermal design, memory configuration and software. Because no benchmark testing is part of this comparison, the processor difference should be treated as a listed tier difference, not a measured one.

The 16 Pro+ is the stronger choice if a high refresh rate matters to you. Its official maximum of 144Hz is above the 120Hz listed for the GT 7. Brightness, colour accuracy and touch response are not covered by these listings. Those are best judged on a unit in a shop or in a review written after hands-on use.

Cameras
The 16 Pro+ has the higher-resolution main sensor on paper, with 200MP against 50MP on the GT 7, and a 50MP front camera against a listed 32MP. Both phones are listed with a 50MP telephoto lens and an 8MP ultrawide. Higher resolution does not by itself produce better photos, because pixel size, sensor size, processing and lens quality all affect the result. Video specifications are not compared here, since realme’s official page lists 4K at 60fps for the 16 Pro+ rear camera and the GT 7 has no readable official equivalent.
Battery and charging
Both phones are listed at 7000mAh, so battery capacity does not separate them. The GT 7’s listed 120W charging is faster than the 16 Pro+’s official maximum of 80W. For a buyer who charges often and wants a quick top-up, that difference is more meaningful than the capacity figures. Real endurance will vary with screen refresh rate, workload and signal strength.

Storage and memory
The GT 7 is listed with 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The 16 Pro+ comes in several configurations that depend on the market, covered in the next section. Storage speed and memory capacity differ between variants, so a like-for-like comparison requires the same RAM and storage on both phones.

The official pages are the primary sources for these details: realme’s Europe specifications and realme’s India specifications. The gap in the table is simple subtraction of the two listed prices. It is not proof that one phone is cheaper in practice. Prices change with promotions, bank offers, sellers and stock, so the figures above are a snapshot of two publishers’ listings rather than a current quote. To make a fair comparison, match the RAM and storage tier, then compare the final checkout price, including any discounts, in your own country.
Which phone fits which buyer
- Choose the GT 7 if a higher-tier processor class and faster wired charging are the priorities, and its local price and warranty are competitive.
- Choose the 16 Pro+ if a high-resolution main camera, a 50MP telephoto and front camera, or a 144Hz display matters more to you, and the memory configuration you need is available at a reasonable price.
- Do not decide on megapixels alone. A 200MP sensor does not guarantee better photos, and the same goes for battery capacity, which is listed identically on both phones.
Checks before buying
- Confirm the exact model, RAM and storage variant on the seller’s page, since the 16 Pro+ spans several.
- Check the network bands supported in your country, particularly for the GT 7, where no official page was reviewed here.
- Read the seller’s warranty and return terms, and check whether the phone is sold through an official channel.
- Compare the price at checkout, not the list price, and note the date you checked it.
Published specifications for both phones are a starting point, not a verdict on daily use. Use the listed figures to narrow the choice, then confirm the variant, price and regional support before buying.
