Which is better, the realme 16x 5G or the vivo Y31T 5G? The reported realme specifications point to a faster-refreshing 144Hz screen and 45W charging, while vivo officially lists a 7,200mAh typical battery, 44W charging and IP68/IP69 ratings. There is no dependable like-for-like price comparison in the available listings: vivo India lists its 6GB/128GB model at ₹29,999, but realme prices and availability vary across third-party snapshots.

Which phone has the better display?
On the figures reported, the realme 16x 5G has the higher maximum refresh rate: 144Hz versus vivo’s officially listed 120Hz. A higher refresh rate can allow more frequent screen updates, but it does not by itself prove that scrolling or animation will feel better in everyday use; that also depends on software, app support and how the display behaves in practice.
#1 Best Overall
- 6.78 inches, AMOLED, 1B colors, 6.78 inches
- 256GB Storage, 8GB RAM
- Android 16, Mediatek Dimensity 7300 Max (4 nm), Mediatek Dimensity 7300 Max (4 nm)

Both phones are listed with LCD panels and 720-class vertical resolution. The vivo screen is specified as 1608 × 720, while the realme figure is 1570 × 720. The available specifications do not establish which screen looks sharper or has better colour, brightness or outdoor visibility.
Battery capacity and charging
Vivo lists a 7,200mAh typical battery and 44W charging for the Y31T. 91mobiles reports a 7,000mAh battery and 45W SuperVOOC charging for the realme 16x 5G. These are rated capacities and charging specifications, not evidence of comparative battery life or charging times. Vivo also says charging power adjusts dynamically according to power output, external conditions and actual usage.

No matched battery-runtime or charging test is established here, so the small difference in advertised charging power should not be treated as proof that one phone charges faster in practice.

Processor and everyday speed
The reported chipsets are MediaTek Dimensity 6300 for realme and Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 for vivo. A chipset name alone cannot settle which phone is faster for gaming, multitasking or sustained workloads. No reliable, directly comparable benchmark or workload test is available here.

Cameras
91mobiles lists a 50MP main rear camera and 8MP front camera for the realme. Vivo’s official page lists a 50MP main camera, a 2MP bokeh camera and an 8MP front camera. Megapixel counts and the presence of an extra sensor do not establish image quality; there is no matched camera test to support a winner.
Software
The available listings associate the realme with Android 16 and Realme UI, though the reported UI version varies. Vivo’s official product page lists Android 16 with OriginOS 6. No verified update-duration commitment is established for this comparison, so software support should not be assumed from the operating-system version alone.

Price difference in India
Vivo India’s store lists the Y31T 5G with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage at ₹29,999. This is a store listing snapshot, not a matched price comparison. Third-party realme price and stock results vary, and the available listings do not establish a current realme price for the same memory/storage tier, seller terms and warranty.

Best Value
- 6.57 inches, AMOLED, 1B colors, 1080 x 2372 pixels
- 256GB Storage, 8GB RAM, microSDXC (uses shared SIM slot)
- Android 16, Realme UI 7.0, Mediatek Dimensity 6400 Turbo (6 nm), Octa-core (2x2.5 GHz Cortex-A76 & 6x2.0 GHz Cortex-A55)
- Rear: 50 MP, f/1.8, 26mm (wide), 1/2.93", 0.60µm, PDAF, Auxiliary lens, Front: 50 MP, f/2.4, 23mm (wide)
Which one should you choose?
- Consider the realme 16x 5G if its reported 144Hz display and 45W charging are priorities, but verify those specifications and the exact configuration with the seller or an official realme listing before buying.
- Consider the vivo Y31T 5G if you want manufacturer-published specifications, a listed 7,200mAh typical battery, IP68/IP69 ratings, or a 6GB/128GB option with a stated India store price.
- Wait to compare live listings if price is the deciding factor. The available prices are not a same-date, same-variant comparison, and they cannot support a reliable value winner.
What comes in the vivo box?
Vivo lists a charger, USB cable, case and pre-applied protective film in the Y31T package. The product page cautions that specifications and parts can vary by supplier or production batch, so check the package contents for the specific unit you purchase. No equivalent confirmed realme box-content information is established here.
