According to Gadgets 360’s launch report, the Harry Potter Edition launched in India on September 21, 2026, as a limited edition with the same specifications as the standard realme 16 Pro. The reported differences are the exterior, themed software and items in the box—not a faster processor or upgraded camera.

Harry Potter Edition design and software
Realme’s official product page describes a Magic Brown finish, a Hedwig-inspired camera surround, Hogwarts-themed back and frame details, and a color-changing light-sensing decoration. It also lists castle wallpapers, themed boot and fingerprint animations, and more than 30 redesigned native app icons. Realme cautions that the color-changing effect may wear over time with daily use.

Realme lists a limited-edition gifting box with a Hogwarts acceptance letter, character postcards, house bookmarks and house crest pins. Gadgets 360 additionally reports a Hogwarts-logo phone case and phone pin among the package contents. Box contents can be checked against the seller’s listing before purchase.

Realme warns that water resistance can become less effective with extended use and that liquid damage is not covered by warranty. An IP rating should not be treated as a promise that accidental liquid damage will be repaired under warranty.

Gadgets 360 reported a launch price of ₹62,999 in India for the Harry Potter Edition’s sole 12GB RAM / 256GB storage configuration. A 91mobiles comparison listing displayed ₹44,999 for the standard realme 16 Pro. That suggests an indicative ₹18,000 difference only if the configurations and seller terms match; the listing does not establish a current, authorized price for the identical standard-model configuration.

Which realme 16 Pro should you choose?
Choose the standard realme 16 Pro if
- You want the reported core hardware and do not value the licensed styling or Harry Potter-themed interface.
- The live authorized price for the same RAM and storage configuration is meaningfully lower.
Consider the Harry Potter Edition if
- You specifically want the Hogwarts-inspired exterior and custom interface.
- The themed box and collectibles matter to you, and the price premium fits your budget.
Because the reported specifications match, there is no evidence here of an edition-specific performance advantage. Make the price comparison using matching configurations and current seller terms rather than treating the ₹18,000 indicative gap as a guaranteed saving.
