Polling and thumbsticks
Razer specifies polling of up to 250 Hz on Xbox and up to 8,000 Hz on PC. The higher PC figure should not be read as an Xbox specification. Razer describes the thumbsticks as using capacitive, contactless sensors intended to avoid the wear associated with traditional stick mechanisms. The company pairs them with a 16-bit ADC and says they register approximately 3,000 movement steps; its footnote says that figure was measured with a Razer Hyper Wireless dongle connected to a PC at 8,000 Hz polling. These are manufacturer specifications, not independently verified performance results.

Triggers, profiles, and compatibility
Razer’s announcement gives an adjustable trigger-actuation range of 1.3 mm to 8.2 mm. The product page also lists individually adjustable trigger actuation, adjustable dead zones, four onboard profiles, and native Steam support. Razer describes the controller as compatible with Xbox and PC.
Response, battery, and warranty claims
Razer’s launch announcement describes sub-1 ms response times, while its product page describes sub-2 ms latency. Those are different claims in different Razer materials; neither is an independent test result. Razer also lists up to 27 hours of battery life and a three-hour full charge. What the specifications do—and do not—establish
Razer’s polling, latency, sensor-resolution, and battery figures are vendor claims. The sources available here do not include independent post-launch testing of real-world latency, battery runtime, stick drift, or durability. Razer says its contactless thumbstick design is intended to resist the degradation associated with traditional stick-drift mechanisms, but that design claim is not proof of long-term drift resistance.
Razer’s October 6, 2026 launch announcement presents the V4 line as designed for competitive FPS, racing, and sports games. Its stated performance goals should be treated as the company’s positioning rather than a measured comparative result.
