Razer’s US product page specifies adjustable actuation from 0.1 to 4.0 mm and says Rapid Trigger can reset after upward key movement as low as 0.1 mm. How it feels in the early review
Windows Central’s October 3, 2026 hands-on review praised the smooth feel of the key cluster and the comfort of the adjustable wrist rest. The reviewer also wrote, “If you’re into games with a huge number of abilities and the rotation orders around them, you’ll likely love it.” That is an individual suitability judgment, not a finding about players generally. Why the thumbstick is the main caveat
The same Windows Central review reported that the thumbstick defaulted to a right-stick role and that its forward orientation felt unintuitive to that reviewer. The reviewer said they could not realign the inputs at the time. Lighting behavior was another reported frustration. These observations describe that review experience; available evidence does not establish whether a subsequent firmware or Synapse update changed the behavior.
A Razer Insider user separately asked whether the analog thumbstick could be assigned as “Left Stick” rather than “Right Stick,” mentioning Synapse version 4.0.14.2609150422. That forum question establishes neither that left-stick assignment is impossible nor that it works. - Open the Tartarus V2 Pro configuration in Synapse. Review the available controls and keymap options, then set the keypad actions and thumbstick role you need. The support guidance identifies Synapse as the configuration route; it does not establish that every game or stick assignment is supported.
- Check lighting separately. Configure lighting in Synapse and verify the result on the device rather than assuming it will behave as expected from a preset.
- Test in the target game. Confirm that the game recognizes the intended stick direction and mapped actions. If the mapping remains confusing, check current software settings and the game’s input options before concluding that the keypad cannot provide the desired control.
Who should consider it—and what remains uncertain
The keypad is most compelling on paper for players who want many programmable actions within one hand’s reach and value adjustable key actuation. The key feel and wrist-rest comfort received positive comments in the cited hands-on review, but that single review does not establish long-term comfort or reliability.

Thumbstick suitability is less certain: it depends on the mapping available in current software and how the particular game handles input. The available evidence does not provide a controlled comparison with other keypads, measured latency results, broad game-compatibility testing, or a confirmed software fix. Treat the analog and Rapid Trigger figures as Razer’s specifications, not a promise that every game will use them as intended.
