Which Razer mouse has up to 200 hours of battery life?
It is the Razer Basilisk V4 Pro, the newest model in Razer’s ergonomic Basilisk line. The 200-hour claim applies specifically to HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2 at a 1,000 Hz polling rate. Razer separately advertises up to 275 hours when connected over Bluetooth 6.2; the two figures refer to different connection modes, and the announcement does not establish an equivalent test protocol for comparing them. Razer’s October 8, 2026 announcement does not provide independent testing or enough methodology to predict a particular user’s runtime.

These are “up to” figures from Razer, not a guarantee of how long every charge will last. Actual runtime for a typical user is not established by the announcement, so treat the numbers as manufacturer claims rather than a tested expectation.
What the Basilisk V4 Pro offers
- Controls and wheel: 14 customizable controls and the HyperScroll Tilt Wheel Gen-2, with Dual Tactile modes, Free-Spin and Smart-Reel switching.
- Sensor and switches: Focus Pro 50K Optical Sensor Gen-3 and Gen-4 optical mouse switches, which Razer rates for 100 million clicks.
- Lighting: Seven-zone Chroma RGB with underglow.
- Connectivity: HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2, Bluetooth 6.2 with support for up to three paired devices, and wired mode.
How it differs from the Basilisk V4 HyperSpeed
Razer also announced the Basilisk V4 HyperSpeed, a more streamlined model. The company lists it at 94 g, with 12 customizable controls and up to 140 hours of battery life. The available announcement does not give a connection mode or polling-rate qualification for that 140-hour figure, so it should not be treated as directly comparable to the Pro’s mode-specific claims.

Charging accessory and current US listing
The optional Razer Mouse Dock V2 Pro adds magnetic wireless charging and an integrated 8,000 Hz transceiver. Razer lists the Basilisk V4 Pro as compatible; the dock is an accessory, not a requirement for the mouse’s advertised wireless battery life.

What to check when comparing battery claims
- Compare the same connection mode and polling rate where those details are available; a Bluetooth maximum and a 1,000 Hz wireless maximum are not like-for-like figures.
- Consider controls, ergonomics, weight, sensor and switch specifications, lighting, and charging options alongside runtime.
- Look for a stated test method before treating a manufacturer’s “up to” number as a likely everyday result.
