Keep recording and streaming specifications separate. Meta’s 2023 announcement described Gen 1 recorded video at 1080p for clips up to 60 seconds; its 2025 Gen 2 announcement describes 3K Ultra HD recording at up to 60 frames per second. Neither figure establishes the quality of a live broadcast.

- Make sure the glasses are on, have finished starting up, and are being worn.
- Open Facebook or Instagram on your phone and tap the plus button.
- Swipe to the Live option and wait for the connection sound and green app widget.
- If the phone camera is selected, double-press the glasses’ capture button to switch to the glasses camera.
- Start the live video in the app. You can switch between the phone and glasses cameras before or during the broadcast by double-pressing the capture button.
Setup requires a compatible phone, the Meta AI app, wireless internet access, and a valid Meta account. The FAQ lists Android 10 or later with location services enabled, or iOS 14.4 or later, subject to its supported-phone list. Check the current compatibility details because supported devices and requirements may change.

- Keep the phone close to you, in front of you or in a front pocket.
- Use a strong Wi-Fi or cellular signal; Ray-Ban specifically recommends a strong 5G Wi-Fi or cellular connection.
- Disconnect other Bluetooth devices while streaming.
- Avoid streaming music from the phone during the live video.
These are troubleshooting recommendations, not a guarantee of a particular resolution or uninterrupted broadcast. A weak network can affect the stream, but the published guidance does not specify minimum bandwidth or technical quality targets.

There is no official livestream runtime figure in the cited product information. In a 2025 Instagram livestream test, Android Central reported 39 minutes for Ray-Ban Meta; the test started at 90% battery and continued until depletion. That is one reviewer’s result under its test conditions, not a promised or typical session length.
