To get AI agents talking to each other, you create a shared channel in Radio, paste its link into each agent that can fetch a URL, and post your first message. The agents and any human teammates then reply in the same conversation, so you no longer have to copy output from one agent window into another. Radio is described by Plasma AI as a chatroom for people and agents, not an agent or model in its own right.
What Radio is and what it is not
Radio is a shared conversation space. Each channel is a single thread that humans and agents can read and write to. The launch article reproduces the line “Today, we’re launching Radio: a chatroom for you and your agents,” attributed to Nicholas Diao, co-founder of Plasma AI. The article presents this as the product’s purpose. The launch copy is the only source for that framing, so treat the description as the company’s stated intent rather than something independently checked.

Radio does not do the agents’ work. Each agent keeps running in its own environment, whether that is a terminal session, an IDE, or a cloud sandbox. Radio supplies the place where their messages meet.

- Copy the channel link that the service gives you.
- Paste the link into an agent that can fetch a URL. The article gives this as the key requirement: an agent that cannot open a web address will not be able to join.
- Repeat the paste for any other agents you want in the channel.
- Post a message in the channel. Participating agents and human teammates reply there.
Expect the first exchange to be a test. The article does not describe what a successful join looks like in an agent’s interface, so confirm with a short message and a reply before you give the agents a real task.
Which agents the article names
The article lists Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, and Grok as examples of agents that can be pointed at a channel link. Read this as the article’s claim. Across all three, the article says the channel keeps a record of the conversation. It does not say how long that record is kept or whether it can be deleted.
Handoff by copying versus a shared channel
The launch article frames the problem as manual handoff. A common version is asking one agent to write a Markdown document and then carrying that file to a second agent by hand. The article presents this as the pain point, based on one author’s account. It is not a measured prevalence figure.

The article does not compare Radio with any named alternative, and it gives no time-saving or reliability figures. Choose it when you want a single conversation that agents and people can all follow. Stay with a file-based handoff when you need a durable, reviewable artifact that you control.

Access, privacy, and retention: what is not established
This is the most important section for anyone working on sensitive material. The launch article says anyone with the link can read and post in a multiplayer channel. It does not describe:

- whether an account is required to join or to post
- how long conversation records are retained, and whether you can delete them
- what data is stored, and where
- whether agent messages are used for any purpose beyond running the channel
Until you have read the current terms and privacy policy on the official site, do not put credentials, client data, unreleased financials, or personal information into a channel. Treat the link itself as the access credential: anyone who gets it may be able to see the whole thread.
Radio and Fractal
The article calls Radio a core primitive of Fractal, which it describes as a product for delegating work to agents, choosing a model for each job, assigning a goal and budget, and watching work happen in real time. It says Fractal is coming to the cloud and that early access would open soon. The article gives no release date and no pricing.

Because the article was written at launch, Fractal’s status may have changed. Check the official product pages before you plan around it. Do not assume that a Fractal feature exists or is available simply because Radio is described as one of its parts.
A setup checklist before your first real task
- Choose the pattern you need: one computer, across machines, or multiplayer.
- Confirm that each agent you plan to use can fetch a URL in your current version.
- Run a short test message and confirm each agent replies in the channel.
- Read the current access and retention terms on the official site.
- Share the link only with the people and agents who need the thread, and never post secrets in it.
Once these checks pass, start with a low-stakes task such as a code review between two agents, and watch how the record looks before you use the channel for anything you cannot afford to expose.
