No por sí solo. El DNS spoofing puede hacer que un resolver entregue una dirección IP incorrecta y redirija una conexión RTMP a otro servidor. Eso no demuestra que quien la redirige pueda leer el contenido multimedia: DNS traduce nombres en direcciones, mientras RTMP transporta audio, video y datos. La confidencialidad depende de la protección de la conexión concreta.
Qué hace el DNS spoofing y qué no hace
Un resolver DNS consulta o proporciona la dirección asociada a un nombre de dominio. El DNS spoofing es un intento de que acepte una respuesta escogida por un atacante; si la acepta, el cliente puede dirigirse a un servidor distinto del previsto. El IETF describe las medidas contra respuestas DNS falsificadas en RFC 5452.

RTMP, en cambio, es un protocolo de aplicación que multiplexa y paquetiza audio, video y datos sobre un transporte confiable, como TCP. La especificación de Adobe describe ese papel en Adobe’s Real Time Messaging Protocol. Por tanto, cambiar la dirección resuelta puede alterar el destino de la conexión, pero no equivale a descifrar el tráfico ni garantiza que el servidor falso pueda hacerse pasar por el legítimo.

¿Puede una respuesta DNS falsa redirigir una conexión RTMP?
Sí, si el cliente depende de ese nombre para encontrar el servidor y el resolver acepta una respuesta incorrecta. RFC 5452 establece que el resolver debe cotejar la respuesta con la consulta pendiente antes de aceptarla: nombre y pregunta, identificador de consulta, direcciones y puertos. También recomienda aleatorizar los puertos de origen. Estas comprobaciones dificultan la aceptación de respuestas falsificadas; no convierten DNS en una protección del contenido RTMP.

Qué protege cada control
La seguridad se entiende mejor separando la resolución DNS de la conexión multimedia. Ningún control de una capa debe interpretarse como garantía automática para la otra.

Cómo revisar un stream en un entorno autorizado
Si administras el servicio o tienes permiso explícito para evaluarlo, centra la revisión en la configuración y en la evidencia disponible, no en intentar interceptar tráfico ajeno.

- Confirma el nombre y destino esperados. Revisa la configuración del cliente y la del servicio para establecer qué nombre debe resolver y qué servidor debe recibir la conexión.
- Verifica el resolver y la validación. Comprueba qué resolver usa el cliente, que esté bajo control confiable y que la validación DNSSEC esté habilitada donde corresponda.
- Examina los controles del resolver. Confirma que valida las respuestas frente a la consulta pendiente y aplica medidas de resiliencia como la aleatorización de puertos descrita en RFC 5452.
- Comprueba la protección de la sesión RTMP en esa implementación. Consulta la documentación del producto y la configuración efectiva para saber qué protección de transporte, cifrado o autenticación se aplica; no infieras esas propiedades a partir de una resolución DNS correcta.
- Revisa registros y cambios inesperados. Compara los destinos observados con los autorizados y sigue el procedimiento de respuesta a incidentes de tu organización si detectas una discrepancia.
¿El puerto 1935 es obligatorio para RTMP?
No debe tratarse como requisito universal. La documentación de Adobe Primetime 1.2 indica el puerto 1935 como valor predeterminado de escucha para esa configuración concreta; no establece que todas las implementaciones RTMP deban usarlo. Consulta la documentación de Adobe Primetime y la configuración del servicio que realmente utilizas.
