Private Internet Access (PIA) says it has added 15 VPN server locations, taking its network to 170 locations across 104 countries and territories, up from 91 countries. The additions include 13 new country or territory entries and city-level options in Naples, Italy, and Tottenham, UK. PIA’s announcement was updated September 30, 2026.
Which locations did PIA add?
PIA’s announcement groups the additions by region. Naples and Tottenham are city-level locations in markets PIA already served; the other entries expand its country and territory list.

The 15-location total and network figures are reported by PIA, not independently counted. PIA’s announcement lists all additions.
Does a listed location mean the server is physically there?
No. A VPN location can provide an IP address associated with the displayed place while the underlying server hardware is hosted elsewhere. PIA identifies virtual locations in its apps and on its server-network page.

For three of the new entries, PIA’s support page specifies the hosting location: Belarus maps to Frankfurt, Cuba to the USA, and Myanmar to Singapore. The same page lists hosting details for other locations. Check PIA’s current disclosures if the physical location of the infrastructure matters to you, since a location label alone does not establish where the hardware is. PIA’s explanation of virtual server locations provides the mappings.
What should existing PIA users expect?
PIA says the new locations become available automatically in supported apps. Existing users do not need to reinstall the app or sign up for a different plan, and can add locations to Favorites. If a location does not appear, first check that you are using a supported, up-to-date PIA app; the announcement does not specify a rollout schedule by app or platform.

Will the new locations improve speed or unlock particular content?
Not necessarily. PIA says having more location choices may help users find a closer or less congested connection and reach locally relevant websites. Those are possibilities, not guaranteed outcomes: speed, latency, and content availability can vary with your physical location, ISP, chosen server, account, and third-party services. PIA’s server page describes location choice as relevant to speed, but does not promise the same result for every user. The announcement does not report independent performance tests or confirm access to any named streaming service. PIA’s server-location page describes its network and location choices.
