Martian Manhunter can fill two very different roles in Injustice: Gods Among Us Mobile: Prime disrupts opponents with random effects, while Blackest Night supports his team through rotating sustain, power generation and defense. The right choice depends on whether you want to create openings or help a team endure—not on a proven universal ranking.
Injustice Mobile is a touch-based collectible card game built around roster-based 3-on-3 combat, as described by Warner Bros.’ Google Play listing. The name Martian Manhunter covers distinct cards, so strategies for one should not be carried over to the other.

Is Martian Manhunter good in Injustice Mobile?
Potentially, but the answer depends on the card and the job you need. Prime is primarily a disruption option; Blackest Night is more oriented toward team sustain and defense. Available guides describe their abilities and possible uses, but do not establish a current head-to-head winner, team-specific performance, or measured win rates.

What does Prime Martian Manhunter’s passive do?
Prime’s passive is Telepathic Attack. The GameFAQs iOS guide says it can inflict random effects on an opponent. It lists his specials as Phase Assault, Pillar Slam and Son of Mars, and emphasizes disruption—particularly a stun or power drain—as a way to open a chance to use a special.

How to use Prime
- Look for a passive effect that gives you a useful opening, such as a stun or power drain.
- Use the opening to bring out a special rather than expecting Prime to win through raw damage; the guide characterizes his damage as low.
- If you secure a stun and have a stronger damage dealer available, the guide suggests handing off to that teammate.

What does Blackest Night Martian Manhunter’s Shifter passive do?
Blackest Night Martian Manhunter is a Gold card whose Shifter passive rotates through three states, according to the InjusticeOnline guide: life drain shared with the team, increased power generation, and increased defense. That variety makes the card’s described value more team-oriented than Prime’s opponent disruption.

The same fan guide says the defense state halves incoming damage. Treat that as the guide’s claim rather than a verified current measurement. It lists Phase Assault, Soul Survivor and Son of Mars as his specials, and describes Son of Mars as unblockable.
Gear noted in the guide
InjusticeOnline also describes Martian Garb, also called Martian Hunter Garb, as an in-game gear card. The guide says it grants health, a chance for unblockable basic attacks for Martian Manhunter characters, and a heal on Special 2 when evolved. These are game mechanics, not a recommendation to buy a physical item.

How should you choose between the two cards?
- Choose Prime for disruption: his passive’s random opponent effects may produce a stun or power drain that helps set up a special.
- Choose Blackest Night for team utility: Shifter is described as cycling among shared life drain, power generation and defense.
- Judge by your roster and objective: the available references do not show which card performs better across teams or in current competitive play.
There is no sourced statistic for either card’s win rate, usage or measured performance. The Prime guide dates to 2018, and the Blackest Night information comes from a fan guide; neither establishes current balance through controlled testing.
