What’s new in the Pokémon Legends: Z-A bundle?
The Pokémon Company announced on September 30, 2026 that Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Mega Dimension is scheduled for Thursday, October 29, 2026. The package puts the Switch 2 Edition and the paid Mega Dimension DLC together on one game card. The Pokémon Company’s announcement describes it as a way to get the entire story in one package.

The official Japanese product page lists it as packaged software for Nintendo Switch 2. It says the game content is the same as purchasing the Switch 2 Edition and DLC separately. The Japanese suggested retail price is ¥11,128 including tax; that is a Japan-specific price, not a confirmed price for other markets. See the official Japanese product listing.

The cited official sources establish a scheduled release date, but do not establish when pre-orders open in any region, whether retailers currently have stock, or what the package will cost outside Japan. Check your local official Nintendo store or retailer for current availability and regional pricing; a release announcement alone does not mean pre-orders are live.

The original game and Switch 2 Edition launched on October 16, 2025. The Japanese listing gives June 5, 2025 as the start of digital pre-orders and July 23, 2025 as the start of packaged pre-orders for those original editions. Those dates are historical and do not set a pre-order window for the 2026 all-in-one package.
Should you buy the bundle or get Mega Dimension separately?

If you already own the Switch 2 Edition, the Japanese listing directs you to buy the standalone DLC rather than the all-in-one package. Nintendo Support says Mega Dimension is available through Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch, and through Nintendo Store. The DLC works with both the original game and Switch 2 Edition, but it is not playable without the base game. Check Nintendo Support’s Mega Dimension information.

Are the old Pokémon Legends: Z-A pre-order bonuses still available?
Nintendo UK’s July 1, 2025 article described a Partner Pokémon figurine bonus and physical Mega Evolution, Trainer, and Champion’s Choice bundles for the original game pre-order period. Nintendo said bonuses were limited and subject to availability. These were UK and Ireland offers announced in 2025; they are not confirmation of bonuses for the 2026 Switch 2 package or of any offer currently available.
For that historical period, the three physical bundles cost extra over the game price: £7/€9 for Mega Evolution, £13/€16 for Trainer, and £20/€25 for Champion’s Choice. These are past regional figures, not current prices. Read Nintendo UK’s 2025 pre-order announcement.

What do you need for online features?
Nintendo Support says the game needs the software update released on March 18, 2026 to use its internet features. Online features also require a Nintendo Switch Online membership. These are online-use conditions, not requirements for pre-ordering or for owning the physical bundle. See Nintendo’s software update and online-feature information.
