As of October 4, 2026, the official sources cited here do not confirm a universal active code. Use Niantic’s Web Store to redeem a free offer code, and check the terms and date of any code before counting on it.
Offer codes and promo codes are different
Niantic uses two terms for two different things. An offer code can award in-game items without requiring a purchase. A promotional code is entered against an eligible Pokémon GO Web Store purchase and may add items or reduce the purchase price. A purchase-linked promotion is not a free code.

| Code type | Purchase required? | Where to use it | Limits to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Offer code | No purchase is inherent to the code type; the individual offer may have eligibility terms. | Niantic’s Pokémon GO Web Store offer-redemption page. | Codes may be single-use, limited to specific users, or restricted to one use during a period. Check the code’s expiration and event terms. |
| Promotional code | Yes. It applies to a qualifying Web Store purchase. | On the Web Store product or bundle page, using the Promo Code control beneath the description. Niantic says these codes do not apply in the in-app shop. | Eligibility and minimum-purchase restrictions apply. Niantic’s help page states a USD $9.99 minimum for monthly promo codes; check the live terms because this threshold can change. Child accounts cannot use this purchase-linked code process. |
Niantic describes offer codes as limited, one-time-use offers associated with special events or sponsored partnerships. That does not mean every code is available to every player or remains valid indefinitely.

- Open Niantic’s Pokémon GO Web Store offer-redemption page.
- Sign in using the same account credentials you use for Pokémon GO. If you normally sign in only with Pokémon Trainer Club, see the account note below.
- Enter the offer code and submit it.
- Look for the confirmation message identifying the items added, then check the game for the rewards.
How to use a purchase-linked promo code
- Open the Pokémon GO Web Store and select a qualifying item or bundle.
- On its description page, open the Promo Code control beneath the description.
- Enter the promotional code and complete the purchase. The code is not applied in the in-app shop.
Eligibility, minimum purchase, and other restrictions depend on the promotion. Niantic’s help page currently states that monthly promotional codes require a total Web Store purchase of at least USD $9.99; check the current page before buying, as terms may change.
Are any Pokémon GO codes active right now?
The official sources cited here do not establish a universal code active on October 4, 2026. Individual offers can have narrower audiences or short event windows, so an old code list is not evidence that a code still works.

Recent examples are not proof of current availability
- GOTOURKALOS: The Pokémon Company International announced this code on February 27, 2026, for one of the Kalos region’s first partner Pokémon, with directions to the Web Store. The announcement does not establish that the code is still active on October 4, 2026. Read the Pokémon Day announcement.
- 2026 Pokémon GO Worlds Twitch rewards: The official post gave a September 11, 2026 claim deadline, which had passed by October 4. Read the Worlds rewards announcement.
- Pokémon GO x Target: The documented avatar-item bonus applied to qualifying Target gift-card code redemptions made May 2 through July 31, 2026. That promotion had expired by October 4; buying a gift card now should not be assumed to provide the bonus. Read the promotion details.
When checking a code list, look for a publication or verification date, the exact reward, the redemption route, and any region, account, or event conditions. Prefer Niantic or Pokémon announcements over community posts and third-party lists; do not treat a code as active unless a current official source or successful redemption confirms it.

Why a Pokémon GO code may not work
- It expired or its event window ended. A code announced for an event or promotion may stop working after its stated deadline.
- It has already been used or is not eligible for your account. Some codes are single-use, user-specific, or limited to one redemption in a period.
- You are signing in with Pokémon Trainer Club alone. Niantic says Web Store offer-code redemption is unavailable to accounts using only Pokémon Trainer Club credentials. Link another login provider, then use that provider to sign in.
- Your child account lacks permission. Niantic Kids accounts cannot interact with sponsored offers by default; a parent must enable Sponsored Content. Child accounts cannot make Web Store purchases or redeem the purchase-linked promotional codes covered by Niantic’s help page.
- You are entering the wrong kind of code in the wrong place. Free offer codes go through the offer-redemption page. Purchase-linked promo codes are applied to eligible Web Store purchases, not the in-app shop.
- The promotion’s terms are not met. Confirm the qualifying purchase, minimum spend, eligibility, and any regional or event restrictions on the live terms.
