Pokémon GO now shows a confirmation prompt before you transfer a Pokémon with maxed-out stats. When you select Pokémon for a bulk transfer, the warning also gives the exact number of selected 100% Pokémon—an added chance to catch a perfect-stat Pokémon in your selection before confirming.
What the transfer warning does
In an announcement published October 8, 2026, Pokémon GO said the prompt appears before transferring any Pokémon with maxed-out stats. For bulk transfers, it displays the exact count of selected “★ 100% Pokémon.” Read the official Pokémon GO announcement.

The prompt is a last confirmation opportunity, not a guarantee against accidental transfers: the announcement does not say that every valuable Pokémon is protected, or that transferred Pokémon can be recovered or restored.

What “100%” and “hundo” mean
The official announcement describes Pokémon with “maxed-out stats” and labels them “★ 100% Pokémon.” In player terminology, a 100% Pokémon is also called a “hundo”; secondary coverage explains this as maximum values for HP, Attack, and Defense. Shacknews explains the term.

How about when transferring multiple Pokémon?
The official description says the warning displays the exact count of selected 100% Pokémon during bulk transfers. It does not say that the prompt lists each Pokémon individually or explain every possible combination of Pokémon in a selection, so those details should not be assumed.
When did the update arrive?
The announcement was published October 8, 2026, and describes the feature as recently rolled out. It does not identify a minimum app version, supported devices, region-by-region availability, or a specific rollout schedule. If the prompt has not appeared for you, the announcement alone does not establish when it will reach your account.

Other changes in the same Pokémon GO update
The transfer warning was one item in a broader update. The announcement also covers Zygarde Cells awarded when completing Routes, with the probability of finding them unchanged; combined Compass and Weather icons; map spacing improvements; and changes to Community Ambassador meetup check-ins. These are separate changes from the transfer confirmation.
