There is no current, sourced fresh-start leveling route for Righteous Fire (RF) Occultist in the materials available for Path of Exile 3.29. The documented fresh-start RF route is for Chieftain: it levels with Sunder and Chance to Bleed, then switches to RF at about level 31. That timing and skill setup belong to the Chieftain guide; they should not be treated as Occultist instructions.

The linked Pohx RF Wiki is a maintained starting point for its written guide, videos, walkthroughs, FAQ and Path of Building materials. Its suggested-build update is dated July 21, 2026.

Why the Chieftain leveling steps do not transfer to Occultist
Pohx’s Mobalytics guide, labeled for patch 3.29 and updated August 7, 2026, documents a fresh-start Righteous Fire Chieftain route. It uses Sunder with Chance to Bleed while leveling and places the RF transition at roughly level 31. Those are Chieftain-specific recommendations, not verified Occultist milestones.

This comparison supports a narrow conclusion: Chieftain has the documented fresh-start detail in these sources. It does not establish that Chieftain is universally better in damage, defense or play experience.
What an Occultist example does—and does not—show
A Path of Building page titled “Level 100 LL Grace Occultist [3.29]” is an endgame character example. It is not an RF leveling guide, and it does not verify an Occultist RF skill sequence, passive tree, equipment milestones, RF switch level or ability to sustain the skill from a fresh start. Its existence should not be mistaken for evidence that this particular starter route is supported.

How to choose a reliable RF leveling plan
- Check the patch label. Pohx’s hub is labeled 3.29. Use resources marked for the patch you intend to play rather than assuming older instructions still apply.
- Open the build’s current leveling PoB. Use the FAQ linked from the Pohx RF FAQ to find its leveling PoB, then confirm that the build and ascendancy match your character.
- Keep the ascendancy aligned. The sourced Sunder-to-RF transition is for Chieftain. Do not copy its level, gems or passive choices as an Occultist plan without an Occultist-specific source.
- Check patch notes as history, not as a build guide. Grinding Gear Games’ 3.27.0 patch notes, published October 23, 2025, document changes for that patch. They are an older baseline, not authoritative instructions for 3.29 gems or passive-tree choices.
Can you league-start RF Occultist?
The available sources do not establish a current, fresh-start RF Occultist leveling plan, so they cannot answer reliably whether the route can sustain RF or what exact milestones make it work. If you want instructions that are actually documented here, follow the current Chieftain guide and its own leveling PoB. If you specifically want Occultist, seek a guide that explicitly covers fresh-start progression for that ascendancy and patch; an endgame PoB alone is not enough.
