These phones serve different purposes: Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra opens into a large-screen foldable workspace, while the POCO X8 Pro Max is described in a third-party listing as a conventional phone with a 6.83-inch display. A fair price comparison is not established by the available listings: Samsung’s US page shows a dollar price, while the POCO listing is in rupees. Compare current offers in the same country, for the same storage, seller conditions and warranty before deciding which is better value.

Which phone has the bigger display?
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra has the larger available workspace when unfolded: Samsung lists an 8-inch main display alongside a 6.5-inch cover display. The POCO’s reported 6.83-inch screen is larger than the Fold8 Ultra’s cover display, but smaller than its unfolded main screen. These figures describe different ways to use a phone, so diagonal size alone does not show how comfortably apps, video or documents fit.
Choose the Fold8 Ultra if the option to open a larger screen for multitasking or content creation is central to your use. Choose a conventional form factor if you prefer one fixed display rather than a foldable design. Samsung positions the Fold8 Ultra around productivity and a larger workspace; that description is the manufacturer’s intended use, not a guarantee that every app or task benefits equally.

What is the price difference?
A reliable like-for-like difference cannot be calculated from these listings. Samsung’s starting price is in US dollars and is before trade-in; the POCO figure is in Indian rupees from a comparison listing. They represent different markets and may not reflect the same date, storage configuration, seller or availability. Do not subtract one figure from the other or treat the result as a universal price gap.

The $2,099.99 figure is Samsung’s US page price before trade-in as accessed October 7, 2026; it is a live offer, not a guaranteed international price. The ₹48,999 POCO figure is a third-party listing from 91mobiles accessed on the same date, not a manufacturer-confirmed price.

Camera hardware
Samsung lists a 200 MP wide camera and a 50 MP ultra-wide camera for the Fold8 Ultra. The cited POCO comparison does not provide camera specifications, so these sources are insufficient for a complete camera-system comparison. Megapixel counts also do not establish image quality on their own.

Battery
Samsung lists a 5,000 mAh battery. The cited POCO comparison does not state a battery capacity, and the available figures do not establish charging speed or real-world endurance for either model. Battery capacity alone would not settle which lasts longer under a particular workload.
Performance
91mobiles identifies the POCO’s processor as a MediaTek Dimensity 9500s. The cited Samsung product-page details do not state the Fold8 Ultra’s processor, and there are no comparable performance tests in these sources. That is not enough evidence to declare either phone faster.

Which is better for your needs?
- Pick the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra if you want a foldable phone with an 8-inch main display and value the option of a larger workspace for multitasking.
- Consider the POCO X8 Pro Max if you want a conventional phone and its reported 6.83-inch screen and listed price suit your needs, after confirming its specifications, stock and warranty with a seller or official POCO source.
- Compare before buying if software-update commitments, storage, local repair support or a matched total price will decide the purchase. The cited information does not establish those details for both models.
Neither device is a universal winner: the Fold8 Ultra’s defining distinction is its foldable large-screen format, while the POCO listing describes a conventional phone. Confirm the POCO’s exact model and specifications, then compare verified local offers and support terms rather than treating the two currency listings as equivalent.
